Delightful Wishes Friendship Card – #TTTC272

It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday and I’m so happy to be joining the challenge design team once again. Let’s take a look at this week’s board…

This board is chock full of wonderful elements to design with. Maybe since it’s my first challenge back, I decided to go BIG and covered the whole board with my card.

Measurements

Lemon Lolly Card base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4

Black card stock: 3 3/4 x 5

Floral Delight DSP: 3 5/8 x 4 7/8

Details

• Layer the black card stock to the card base.
• Using the Spotlight on Nature dies, cut the white circle.
• Using a solid circle die (I used the retired Layering Circles dies) cut a circle the same size as the white circle using black cardstock and glue to the white circle. If you don’t have the same size solid circle die, another slightly larger die would work. You could just trim it or leave it as an additional layer. The idea is to accentuate the cut out design in the white circle.
• Then cut another larger circle from Lemon Lolly card stock.
• Once the circles are layered, glue them to the left side of the DSP panel, leaving a little hanging over the edge and trim.
• Glue the DSP (with the circle glued and trimmed) to the black panel.

• Cut the flowers and leaves using the Delightful Wishes dies in white cardstock.
• Ink Blend the flowers using Lemon Lolly and Peach Pie ink and the leaves using Old Olive ink.
• The flowers are popped with dimensionals and the leaves are glued directly to the circle.
• The tiny butterfly is hand cut from the Storybook Moments DSP.
• Stamp the sentiment (my sentiment) is from the Storybook Friends stamp set.
• Lastly, I embellished the card with a few Loose Frosted Dots.
