Inspiring Imperfections Z-Fold with a Twist Birthday Card

Are you wondering what a Z-Fold with a Twist is? Well, I was too when I saw Jeanie Stark’s last Mystery Monday card. So after following along with the directions, the twist is what makes this a really unique and quite wonderful card design which was really fun to create. You can read and follow Jeanie’s directions HERE to create one for yourself.

Here’s my card…

I used the Inspiring Imperfections dies and Kintsugi Inspiration Designer Series Paper. The vases are cut from the DSP using the matching dies, which made this very easy. I cut an additional vase from gold foil to shadow each vase.

The sentiment is from the (retired) Beautifully Happy stamp set and is stamped in Versa-Mark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I flagged each end of the sentiment strip using a square punch.

and here’s the Z fold opened…

And here’s the twist…the panel on the right side is actually a 4 x 10 1/2 piece of Misty Moonlight card stock glued to the original card base and decorated with a layer of gold foil and DSP pattern. It’s basically a card within a card…pretty unique, eh?

The inside sentiment is from the (retired) Happy Thoughts stamp set. I thought it went perfectly with the sentiment on the front.

Participating in Jeanie’s Mystery Monday is a lot of fun. Not to mention, a great way to learn some new fun fold designs like today’s card.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Take care,

Rosanne
