Moody Masculine Slimline for #TTTC278

As the blog title indicates, I created a masculine slimline card for Tic Tac Toe Thursday. The patterned paper, from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper, was the perfect pattern for both a masculine card and the challenge. Although I don’t have too many men in my family to create cards for, this one will be perfect for my Son-in-Law, James’, upcoming birthday…win/win!

The Basic Beige card base measures 8″ x 3 1/2″. I layered it with a Secret Sea and another Basic Beige panel before adhering two patterns from the Beautiful Gallery 6 x 6 paper collection. Since the paper only measures 6 x 6, it required an additional pattern at the bottom. Before gluing the panels to the card base, I wrapped Secret Sea ribbon to hide where the two patterns met.

The sentiment, which is from Echo Park, was stamped in Secret Sea ink and punched using the Heartfelt Hexagon punch. I added a “shadow” of Secret Sea card stock to the Basic Beige punched hexagon for a little added interest. It was then adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

Lastly, a few Secret Sea flat pearls to finish the card off.

Here’s this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge Board…I chose the middle column down: Birthday, Nautical Theme, Embellishment

I hope you’ll head over to the challenge HERE and check out the awesome creations from my teammates on Team X and join us in sharing your own creation. We’d love to see them!

As always, I thank you for checking in today!

Take care,

Rosanne

  1. I don’t have the words for how this card impacted me. It is lovely. It is moody. It is striking. It is beautiful.

  2. I love this card as well of most of your other cards. I don’t do hard to make cards.
