“Witching” you a Happy Halloween – PP759

I’m calling today “Witching Wednesday” with my card for The Paper Players color challenge. Here’s a look at the colors we had to play with…

Color challenges are usually quite the challenge for me. However, given this color palette and the time of year, it screamed Halloween. I’ve been having a good time creating Halloween cards and using a lot of different stamp sets, both new and old. For today’s challenge, I pulled out an oldie but goodie from my stash…Hero Arts Witch Feet.

The card base is Granny Apple Green and the embossed panel is Gorgeous Grape. It’s embossed with the retired Parisian Flourish embossing folder.

I stamped the “feet” with black Versa-Fine ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder before coloring them with a combination of Copics and SU Blends. Then using the only die that comes with the set, cut them out.

The sentiment panel is trimmed with a die from SU’s Best Borders. I thought it looked like the hem of a skirt against the legs.

The inside sentiment and images are also from the Hero Arts set.

Well, I mentioned that I have three adult daughters, so this is the last of my “adult” Halloween cards. Now to create two cute cards for my young grandsons!

Thanks for coming back today…I have a fun post planned for tomorrow, so hope to see you then!

Take care,

Rosanne
