It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday and Team X is up. Silke created a fun challenge board that I’m sure will spark your creativity.

I kept it very simple with my card for this challenge. And the reason for that is that I found this wonderful patterned paper that I’ve had sitting on my craft desk for sometime just waiting patiently to be turned into a card.

So when I saw the challenge board and one of the elements was Navy, I knew this would be the card. I chose to go left side diagonally: Holiday Sentiment, Free, Navy.
This card came together so quickly I was almost disappointed that it didn’t require more work. The paper has such a vintage-y feel and I love the blue plaid bow. I would really like to have real ribbon like that. Basically, the only thing I did was glue a piece of Navy cardstock to a Basic Beige card base and then glue the patterned paper to the Navy panel.

The sentiment, from Hero Arts Merry Christmas Messages stamp set, is stamped directly onto the patterned paper in Navy ink. A few Navy embellishments complete the card front.
And here’s a peek inside…the sentiment is also from the same Hero Arts stamp set.

Please check out the other designers’ projects for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge. And I hope you’ll join us by sharing your project with us.

Take care,
Rosanne

Wonderful! Did you mention Silke? As she used to have a stamp company? I would love to find her again and follow her. 😍
A beautiful card! I like the vintage feel.
