I’m a little late with this posting today because I spent a lovely day shopping at plant nurseries with a friend. I enjoy gardening and I’m tweaking things all summer long. Even though I thought I had more than enough flowers and vegetables, a few more came home with me today. There’s always room for more!
My card today is for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge….
I like this color combination very much and was happy to dust some Island Indigo off, as it’s been a while since I’ve used it.
This card came together very quickly, which doesn’t happen very often to me. The card base is Island Indigo with a mat of Whisper White. First I stamped the sentiment, from the One Big Meaning stamp set, in Island Indigo ink.
The flower is from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and is stamped twice in Pool Party ink. I cut the first one completely out and cut the inner part from the other stamped image to layer them. There is a dimensional between the two layers. Then I cut the horizontal cutwork design from the Flourish Thinlits out in Island Indigo cardstock and positioned it above the sentiment. It needed to be trimmed a bit. The flower is placed on top with a dimensional. A white candy dot is in the center.

I really put the cutwork design die to work on this project. The inside is embellished with a strip of Island Indigo cardstock and the cutwork design in Whisper White. Then I used it again on the front of the envelope. Can you tell I really like this die!
Thanks so much for taking the time to look in on my post today.
Until next time…take care,
Rosanne
