Along with participating in a few challenges each week, I have issued myself a challenge….to use an under-used stamp set. So for this card, I dusted off the Giggle Greetings stamp set. I remember that this was one of the first sets I ordered when it came out in an annual catalog. I had a lot of really great cards in mind for this set. Sadly, that is where most of those cards stayed…in my mind! Time to change that.
The card base is Mossy Meadow and the DSP on the entire card are prints from the Farmer’s Market DSP collection. Since I am a Farmer’s Market junkie, I knew I would love this collection…and I do! Since I only wanted the top sentiment on the front of the card, I masked the bottom setiment and stamped the top sentiment and the bowl of cherries image on Very Vanilla and cut it out with a Circles Framelit. I stamped the image again and colored the bowl of cherries with Stampin’ Write markers. For a little more definition, I added Crystal Effects to the cherries. After the Crystal Effects dried, I cut out just the bowl of cherries. Before I adhered the bowl to the circle image, I wrapped some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around the banner. The bowl of cherries are popped up with dimensionals. The two stray cherries were punched from the Cupcake Builder punch.
The inside of the card is stamped with the bottom sentiment, masking off the bowl of cherries and the top sentiment, along with a get well sentiment from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set. I then masked off both top and bottom sentiments and just stamped and colored the bowl of cherries. I know it was a lot of masking but this really allows for more versatility when using stamp sets.
I lined the envelope with Farmer’s Market DSP using the Envelope Liners Framelits.
Thanks for looking in on my card and I hope that your day is a Bowl of Cherries….No Pits!
