HAPPY FIRST DAY OF FALL!
Today’s project is truly off the beaten path for me in several aspects. Here’s why….the Paper Players’ challenge called for a “taste of Fall” and the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge was “anything but a card”. I was a little hard pressed for “edible” fall stamps and I usually don’t post many 3D projects but I really wanted to rise to these challenges.
I recently purchased a few Fall stamp sets from Lawn Fawn and one of them was Thanks a Bushel along with the coordinating dies. This set is simply adorable….
I love this little basket of apples. The basket was stamped on a piece of patterned paper and pieced onto the stamped images. The apples are colored with markers and a blender pen. The doilie makes such a cute little backdrop for the apples.
Here’s a photo of the apple crate from the back. I used kraft paper cut at 8″ x 3″ then scored at 2 1/2″ on each side. The retired word punch cut the handles on each side. Cut 4 strips at 1″ x 4″ and score at 1/2″ on each side then affix with Tear & Tape adhesive.
As soon as I saw these Hershey’s Carmel Apples at the drug store, I knew I wanted to make an apple crate for them! I will need to make a few more of these for some special people this Fall!
Hope you are enjoying your first “taste” of Fall today!
Rosanne
