I know that I’ve mentioned this before, but Chrysanthemums are one of my favorite flowers and I love seeing them as Fall approaches. Each year it’s a big decision for me to decide which color I’ll buy. However, I wanted to come up with a pretty paper version, too. Since I couldn’t find a stamped image in any of my collections, I turned to the May Flowers framelits and used the largest flower framelit and paper pieced it with different shades of yellow.
The paper piecing technique is one of my favorites. It’s a little tedious and requires a lot of die cutting but I find it relaxing, like putting a puzzle together. HERE’s another example this technique I did sometime ago.
This card features the colors: Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron.
The sentiment is from Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set and is punched with the Classic Label punch. The envelope is one that I had in my craft room but you can easily make a custom sized envelope using the Envelope Punch Board. I’m on a bit of a mission to use what I have on hand and this envelope fit the bill perfectly!
I’ve listed all the other products used on today’s card below.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Take care,
Rosanne
