CASEing Coast to Coast November

Hello…It’s time to CASE Coast to Coast again!  My friend and fellow stamper, Karen Hallam at     Karen’s Stamping Habit and I have partnered to CASE each other’s card once a month.  Last month was a lot of fun, so we’re doing it again!  If you missed last month’s post, you can see it HERE.  This month Karen will be CASEing my card….

Stampin Up Brightly Gleaming Christmas Card Ideas - Rosanne Mulhern stampinupI love the traditional plaid patterns in the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper collection.  So the hardest part about this card was selecting one!

Stampin Up Brightly Gleaming Christmas Card Idea -Rosanne Mulhern stampinupThe pretty holly leaves, from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set were fun to color.  I used Copic Markers to color these as I’m finding that some of my Stampin’ Blends’ tips are failing and I’m not going to replace them when I have Copics.  After coloring and cutting them (with a Scan n Cut), I added a bit of clear glitter glue to the leaves and Crystal Effects to the berries.  Along with the Gold Foil, this gave the card such pretty sparkle and shine.

I mounted them on the Whisper White rectangle, which was cut from the Stitched Rectangles dies, with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and is stamp in Delicata Golden Glitz ink.  This ink is so pretty and is a great alternative to embossing.

Stampin Up Brightly Gleaming Christmas Card Idea-Rosanne Mulhern stampinupI enjoy stamping and embellishing the inside of my cards and envelopes almost as much as creating the card fronts.  The sentiment is from a non-SU stamp set.  I have a collection of stamp sets from a variety of companies with just sentiments for the inside of cards.  I’m always on the lookout for sentiments with a little more meaning and expression.

Now that you’ve seen my card, be sure to travel (virtually) across the country to California and check out Karen’s blog HERE to see her CASE. I promise you will not be disappointed…it’s fantastic!

  1. GORGEOUS!!! I agree…the plaids are simply stunning and the glitter (sparkle) on the leaves is the perfect added touch!!!

  2. Deanette A Linville

Such a beautiful card! Love the colors!! Thank you for sharing that! Love it!

  3. That plaid paper is delicious! I also love how you did the holly and the berries.

  4. I have found the same thing with the tips of my blends. I know I take very good care of them and at first I thought it was just a pink one that was an odd one and started using the tiny tip which was still good but doesn’t apply enough ink. Now I have several with the brush tip dried out and I have quite an investment in the blends and the case for them. I wonder if SU is going to do anything about it. very disappointing as I really like the way they color.
