Hello! It’s Friday already and what a strange week it’s been! Just like most educators across the country, I’ve been home from school all week with no idea when we’ll return. We’re conducting online classes and making the best of this unprecedented situation. Thank goodness for this wonderful hobby! I’ve been spending a lot more time in the craft room stamping.
The sentiment on today’s card says it all. I’ll be sending cards to family and friends to let them know I’m thinking of them, even though maybe not able to see them.

Details
- Once I matted all the layers with glue (no dimensionals here), this card came together rather quickly.
- The white embossed layer is from a long retired DSP collection which I don’t recall the name. However, any pretty embossing folder would work well here.
- The small butterflies, from the Butterfly Gala stamp set, are a two step stamp. They’re stamped first with Tuxedo Black Memento ink ,then with Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink ink. They’re punched out with the Butterfly Duets punch.
- I popped them on the DSP with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The sentiment is also from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I like to straightforward font on this sentiment. I stamped it in Early Espresso ink on a banner from my stash. This is also popped with dimensionals, however the butterfly is glued directly to the banner.
- The inside is embellished with a few stamped butterflies and a strip of DSP, leaving enough room for a message.
- I also added the same DSP strip to the envelope for a pretty coordinated look.
This card actually served a dual purpose. Besides having a pretty card to brighten someone’s day, it allowed my to use some long neglected stamps and DSP. I know that I get a little too wrapped up in just the new products and tend to forget about products that are still current but have been around awhile. After not using them for such a long time, they actually feel new again! Is this something that happens to you, also? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a good weekend while trying to stay safe and healthy.
Please take care,
Rosanne

A perfect, simple card. Very easy to make multiples. 🙂
Have a blessed day.
Thank you Nancy…hope your day is blessed as well!
I agree with you. We get so wrapped up with the new products that we forget about the ones in the annual catalog. This unfortunate break has given me a chance to bring out some used and unused stamps. It makes them feel new again.
Yes, Sharon! And isn’t gratifying to get more use out of what we already have? Thanks for commenting.
I agree with you about pulling out older products! They do feel new again! I love this Bird Ballad DSP and it’s so sweet with the little butterflies! TFS Rosanne!
Thanks so much, Karen! I’m sort of making it my mission to use more of what I already have!
This is the perfect sentiment to use during this time of craziness in the world! I am going to pull this stamp set out and have some quarantine therapy today! Thanks for sharing your abundance of talent! Miss you!!!
Love the colors and the way you used the butterflies to make everything pop!
Thanks very much, Penny!
