Clean and Simple Sympathy

Hello and happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well.  I’m back with a CAS sympathy card.  I try to keep a few of these cards on hand so I can send them in the most timely manner when the need arises.  I also try to keep them peaceful yet pretty.  I think today’s card fits that bill…

I pulled some of my retired Stampin’ Up! products to create this card.  The front of the card base is embossed with SU Quilt Top embossing folder.  The floral image is cut from SU True Love DSP and backed with a piece of blue vellum from my stash.  I used dimensionals to pop the image.  The sentiment is heat embossed, cut and glued across the floral image.  I also embossed the enveloped flap.

I like to give the inside some special treatment as well.  Here I used another floral image colored and cut from the same DSP and a strip of Balmy Blue Cardstock to embellish the inside.  The sentiment is from an older CTMH stamp set. I think it’s perfectly simple for this type of card.

I’m playing along with this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I chose the top row across: Sympathy, Embossing, Flowers

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care,

Rosanne

  1. Simply elegant. Thank you for sharing. There is no need to put frills and such on a card. Card making can be simple. Love it.

  2. Very pretty card, Rosanne. I like that you do something inside too. I need to do that more often!
