Stars and Stripes Forever – PP646

With June winding down and July quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to create a patriotic card in honor of the 4th of July.  I don’t necessarily send cards for the 4th, so this one will just be displayed amongst my patriotic decor.  Perhaps I’ll put it in a simple frame to use year after year.

I used paper that I had in my stash for the distressed wood background and the star strips.  The banner is created using SU’s Banner Pick a Punch in Boho Blue and Night of Navy card stock.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Land That I Love stamp set and coordinating dies.  I stamped it in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it using some long retired Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  The copper stars are also retired SU.

I’m playing along with the Paper Players sketch challenge this week HERE.

Thanks for stopping in today…I hope you’re looking forward to a fun “fourth”!

Take care,

Rosanne
