Good Monday Morning! I hope you had an enjoyable weekend. We dried out a bit here in SE Pennsylvania but after today it’s going to be soggy again!
Do you purchase card kits? I was never really drawn to them much in the past, but oh my goodness, the kits Stampin’ Up! has been offering lately are positively wonderful. I’ve purchased a few lately and I have to tell you, they are really a lot of fun to put together just as is…but it’s even more fun when you add your own creative spin to them. By using the kit ingredients and adding some other products, you can have nine different cards for any occasion you wish instead of just having three of the same card. Let me show you what I mean…
Here are the three designs from the kit…

Here’s the first Stampin’ Up! design along with my two “original” designs…

…And the next Stampin’ Up! design along with mine…

…And one more Stampin’ Up design with two of mine…

I only used the kit products for the first three cards and used current and retired products to embellish the two I created. It was a lot of fun to come up with different designs for each card and dig around for products. Even after making all nine cards, I still have some of the kit parts left to embellish the inside of each card. The kit comes with embellished envelopes, too.
If you haven’t tried a kit yet, I would really encourage you to try one. The quality of the So Much To Celebrate kit is very good and the cost is only $14.00. That’s quite a value! See all the Kit Offerings HERE.

What is your opinion on kits? Do you like them? Have you tried them? Do you use them regularly?
Speaking of kits, I’ve been a sporadic Paper Pumpkin subscriber in the past but have also noticed that Stampin’ Up! has really improved their quality and the stamp sets are actually great to use on other projects as well. What I like about being a Paper Pumpkin subscriber is that I can suspend it if I’m not interested in that month’s offering and that we can now see a little preview before deciding on purchasing.
Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you are looking forward to a good week ahead.

All so very pretty! I have about a dozen kits that I still haven’t used. I did do one kit and used every bit of it and had so much fun but for some reason all the other stuff and scraps in my room call me first. 🤷♀️
Thanks, Sherri! I, too have a few unopened kits from way back when. For some reason, I’m really enjoying them now and will have to get to the older ones, too. You do wonders with your “scraps” and all the cards you do for foster children.
Hi Rosanne, sorry I don’t comment much. But, this one kit is really good for the price. I love your alternatives. I bought three of these kits to work with my seniors at the nursing home. I never know how many people will come so sometimes there are extra kits left for me. Believe me, I will be trying some of your lovely alternatives if there are “my kits” left. I punch all the pieces out and put the ones for each card in a little bag for each senior so we don’t lose parts and pieces and it goes faster that way. At first I didn’t like the waste of all the pieces in the foreign languages but found flipping them over and stamping on them I have lots to use on their monthly cards I make for them. Great bonus for me. I think my seniors will like the little lady bugs included in this set. I will be also taking plenty of gold embelishments as they love using them. One card once had 25 gems on it! I think we will be doing these cards in June. I think these kits are getting better and better. I love alternatives for PP kits so yours sure caught my eye as well for this kit.
Thank you, Chris! I know your seniors will really enjoy this kit. But I do hope there will be some “extras” left for you, too!
