Tic Tac Toe Thursday: Clean & Simple, Fresh & Pretty Friendship Card #TTTC276

I love a card challenge and always look forward to Tic Tac Toe Thursday. The challenge boards are chock full of inspiration as well as the challenge of incorporating the elements into a card. Today’s board is no exception.

I chose to go with the first column down: Friendship, Any Color, Any Shape Die and also the right diagonal: CAS, Free, Any Shape Die

I relied on an oldie but goodie SU product, the medium daisy punch, to create the flower, which was sponged in Petal Pink ink. The leaves are cut from a die from the Charming Day Dies in Soft Sea Foam card stock. And the sentiment is from the Perfectly Pears stamp set. The embellishments came from my stash.

The measurements for the card front are:

Basic White card base: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2

Soft Sea Foam card stock: 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 and 3 7/8 x 1/4 (strip for front)

Basic White card stock: 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and 3 7/8 x 1/8 (strip for front)

Another die cut to simply embellish the inside.

Let’s talk a bit about that daisy punch. It had to be one of my most used products of all time. It made creating pretty cards so easy and I absolutely loved creating with it. Here are a few cards I created with it in the past…

Do you have a favorite product from the past that refuses to retire? If so, I’d love to hear what it is.

Thanks for stopping by and please head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge to check out my fellow designers’ projects and consider playing along.

Take care,

Rosanne

  1. Your card is so pretty. You did CAS very well with that daisy punch and soft colors. It is still one of my favorites also. Love the older cards as well. TFS

I do love each of the cards that you made with the Daisy Punch. It has been such a great thing to have, I used it recently making Black and White cards – use the small punch along with the middle one and some black and white DSP – black and white checked paper (old paper). Thanks for sharing the more recent cards made with the punch.
