Mystery Fun Fold: Accordion Birthday

Happy Sunday…I hope you’re enjoying a nice weekend. We’re battening down the hatches for another BIG snowstorm here in the East. It hasn’t arrived yet but it’s expected to start by late afternoon and continue until tomorrow evening. Just when the remnants of our last storm, which was 6 weeks ago, are just about gone. It’s been a heck of winter here, that’s for sure! But enough of the weather. Again, I have my weekly Mystery Fun Fold card to share. As usual, you can find all the dimensions and details on Jeanie Stark’s blog HERE.

Jeanie calls this an Accordion Fun Fold and it could not be easier to put together with wonderful results. The hardest part of this card was figuring out what double-sided patterned paper to use as you will see both sides of the 12 x 12 sheet. So coordination is key. I chose a pattern from SU’s Frames & Flowers Designer Series Paper. It was actually the last full sheet I had and it worked well, I think. It was a pretty good feeling to have used an entire pack of paper! This doesn’t happen very often and a clear indication it was a favorite. However, I still have some of the cut out pieces like the one on the front of the card to use on other projects. How often do you use an entire pack of patterned paper?

Here’s how it unfolds…

I don’t have much room to write a message, so I’ll probably put a piece of white cardstock on the back for that when I’m ready to send it. The inside sentiment is from SU’s Layering Leaves stamp set.

Supplies

Stamps: ? from stash(front), Layering Leaves (SU)
Dies: none
Punch: 1″ square
Patterned Paper: Frames & Flowers (SU)
Card Stock: White, Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon (SU)
Ink: Lost Lagoon (SU)

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy what’s left of your weekend,

Rosanne

  1. Another beauty! Congrats to you using the whole pack of paper! That is always my goal but rarely happens. Could be the fact that when I get low I buy an extra pack (just in case!!) LOL
I am not looking forward to this latest storm!!! Though it’s a good excuse to stay in and stamp!!!

  2. Rosanne, your cards are so beautiful! Thanks for posting.

  3. I love this card! This was one of my favorite papers, too! I hope that you are safe and warm, still have power, and do not have any damage from the winds.
