Sweet Strawberry Thinking of You – #tttc296

Welcome back to another Tic Tac Toe Thursday. This week I had the pleasure of creating our board and tried to incorporate a few summertime elements along with some of the standards. Let’s take a look…

I chose to go with the first row across: Fruit/Vegetable, Patterned Paper, Summer Colors.

Nothing says summer more than fresh fruits and vegetables whether homegrown or not. And in my neck of the woods, strawberries are one of the first sure signs that summer has arrived. I live in an area surrounded by Amish farms and fresh strawberries are plentiful now. One stand that I always make sure to visit brings in the strawberries freshly picked in two huge wagons each morning. And you have to be there when they arrive or they’ll be sold out. But it’s totally worth it. We’ve been enjoying them along with strawberry jam all month!

Here are a few details of the card…the lovely strawberry vine is a die from The Greetery which I cut out on white card stock and colored using Stampin’ Blends. The scalloped front layer is a die from my stash which I believe was an older Gina Marie Designs set. I used the largest die and then glued it to a smaller card front so the cut out scallops would stand out. The patterned paper, as well as, the doilie are just from my stash. The sentiment is from a long retired SU stamp set, Butterfly Gala, and is heat embossed. And few sequins add a little more charm.

I know it’s a busy time of year but I hope you can take a little, relaxing crafting time and give my board a go. We’d love to see you at the challenge blog HERE.

As always, thank you for stopping by. I truly appreciate it!
