Summer Fruit Gift and Tag – #TTTC253

Welcome to a new Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  This week it’s Team “O”‘s turn at the board and my teammate, Silke, came up with a fun one full of summery goodness.  Take a look…

And here’s my cute little project….I chose to with the first row across: Gift Tag, Patterned Paper, Summer

To make the sweet little bag, I used a brand new-to-me die from Echo Park: 3-D Bag.  This was so easy to assemble as it is just one large die to cut the entire bag.  Then you just fold along the perforated lines and glue.  It does require a 12 x 12 sheet of card stock.  The flap is secured with a small velcro to keep it closed.  I also just purchased the pretty fruity patterned paper from Echo Park to create the tag..  It’s a great 6 x 6 pad that has really nice summery patterns called, Fruit Stand.  The tag was cut using SU’s Tailor Made Tags Die and cut once in card stock and again in the patterned paper which was trimmed at the top.  The red embellishments are pearls that were colored with a red Sharpie and the tiny watermelon on the sentiment is a polyclay doodad also from my stash.  I used to subscribe to a button company and have collected quite an array of these “doodads” and this one was a perfect little accent.

This bag has already been gifted to a friend with some fruit filled candies…just because!

While all the components were still out, I created another tag for my stash…

Please head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge for some wonderful inspiration from the rest of the Team.  We would love to see you play along with us!

Thanks for stopping by today…enjoy the rest of your day!

Take care,

Rosanne

The Great Outdoors for July CC2C

Welcome back to CASEing (Copy and Selectively Editing) Coast to Coast.  This month our creative adventure originates in CA where Karen Hallam chose the “Great Outdoors” as our theme this month.  Here is Karen’s perfectly summery card…I think this card is actually quite serene and meditative.  Who wouldn’t want to be sitting on this beach under a palm tree?!  Check out all the details on Karen’s blog HERE.

While Karen is relaxing on the beach, I decided to take a bicycle ride through a field of daisies.  Let’s face it, there are no beautiful beaches here in PA!

The daisy background was created using a piece of SU (retired) Rain or Shine DSP.  I pulled out SU’s Bike Ride stamp and die set (also retired) to create the bicycle.  The sparkly handle bar tassels are my favorite!  The simple sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Here’s a look inside…

The inside sentiment came from a long ago purchased set from CTMH.

Thanks for coming along on our cross-country stamping adventure this month.  I hope you’ll join us again!

Take care,

Rosanne

Sending Stitch-y Hugs – #TTTC251

It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday and Team O’s Design Team’s turn to create for this challenge.  Take a look at the fun challenge board that Jeanne created…

…and here’s what I came up with.  I chose to go with the right side diagonal: Butterfly, Yellow, Border

I’m really pleased with the way this card turned out.  Firstly, because I used some products that were very under used and I was so glad to give them some life again.  Secondly, this card combines my two favorite hobbies:  card making and stitching.  Lastly, I’m sending this to  cheer up a very good friend.

Lately, I’ve been creating cards that are a bit larger than the standard A2 size.  Today’s card measures 6 1/2″ x 4 1/2″.  I used a larger size card base to accommodate the layers and the stitched border, which is from Spellbinders.  I’ll list the other products used below.

Please head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge to see the wonderful designs from my Team O teammates.  And have a go at the board and share your design with us HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Take care,

Rosanne

BEE Happy Sketch for CC2C

This month CASEing Coast 2 Coast is originating from here in Southeastern PA and traveling clear across the country to Karen Hallam in California. Since Karen and I are both members of Mary Fish’s Pals stamping community, I chose to follow one of Mary’s weekly sketches.  I find that sketches are great jumping off points for coming up with a card design.  Of course, there are many ways to interpret a sketch and that’s part of the creative fun.  Here’s our sketch…

…and here’s the card I came up with.  Since it’s summer and the bees are buzzing, I decided to pull out Honey Bee Stamps Build-a-Bee and Beehive stamps and dies.

For the inside sentiment, I used the Happy Thoughts retired stamp set from Stampin’ Up!.  I think the sentiments in this set are perfect for the insides of cards.

If you haven’t already, please “buzz” over to Karen’s blog and check out her creative interpretation of today’s sketch.

As always, thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Take care,

Rosanne
