Dear Friend – #TTTC248 & PP692

Today I have a pretty summertime friendship card inspired by a couple challenges.

The “star” of the card is this beautiful paper that I’ve had in my stash for a few years.  It’s from a long ago Simon Says Card Kit.  I really wish it was available as a paper pad collection.

The inside is also embellished with the paper…

Here are the challenges I’m playing along with…

I chose the right diagonal: Car/Truck, Free, Die Cut

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.

Take care,

Rosanne

Time for a Birthday Celebration – PP#691

Happy Friday…I’m sharing a super quick post today in an effort to sneak this birthday card in just under the wire for the Paper Players Challenge.

Here’s Claire’s sketch challenge…

…and here’s my card…

This sketch was really fun to create for.  I especially liked the two rectangle panels.  I used a beautiful paper collection called Dusty Blue Floral by Asuka Studio.  And the sentiment is from Gina K’s Wreath Builder stamp set.

The inside sentiment is from SU’s (ret.) Best Year stamp set.

On a personal note….

And now we have a First Grader!  We celebrated our Grandson, Jack’s, Kindergarten Graduation on Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Take care,

Rosanne

How Does Your Garden Grow – June CC2C

CASEing Coast to Coast is traveling from West with Karen Hallam in CA to East where I am in here PA.  Karen came up with a super fun and seasonal theme:  How Does Your Garden Grow?  Here’s Karen’s beautiful card…

It’s definitely planting season here in Southeastern PA and I live in the Nursery Capital of the State.  There’s actually a sign that says so right off the exit of a major highway, so it must be so!  It’s so much fun to visit all the Amish Nurseries in my immediate area.  First, I do a planning visit to see what’s new and available.  Then I sketch a plan before I go back to purchase.  It usually takes me several trips to gather all my plants but that just makes it more fun.

When planning for my card, I decided to go with some of the essential tools to plant a garden…

I pulled out these fun and realistic looking garden tool dies from The Greetery.  I think The Greetery has some of the most unique dies out there.  Most of the supplies I used here came from my stash.  The sentiment for both the front and back are from Power Poppy’s Sage Advice stamp set and the patterned paper came from a long ago Simon Says Stamps card kit.

I have a friend who is my nursery-hopping partner that I’ll be sending this card to.

Be sure to head West to look at the details of Karen’s card HERE.  Thanks for traveling cross-country with us this month and we look forward to taking you East to West next month.

Take care,

Rosanne

Let’s Go Fishing Slimline Card for #TTTC 247

Let's Go Fishing Father's Day Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Welcome to another Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  This week I had the privilege of creating the board and as you can see from my card above, the theme is Father’s Day/Masculine.

I chose to play two ways:  Firstly, the first row across:  Dry Embossing, Slimline, Twine and secondly, the third row across: Plaid, Fishing, Embellished Envelope.

Here’s a look at the inside…although I do embellish the inside of my cards, I did not include a sentiment as I’m not sure what occasion I’ll use this for.  Perhaps a retirement card, if the need arises.  Generally, I like to have a purpose in mind for the cards I create but this one will be shelved for now.  This card would obviously work well for Father’s Day or Masculine Birthday for a fisherman.
