Large Letter Mother’s Day Card

I’m back with another Mother’s Day card.  This is a mini slimline which measures 6″ x 3 1/2″.  This card came together fairly quickly as it mostly just required die cutting.  I used SU’s (retired) Large Letter dies, cutting the letters our twice in white thick card stock, once in the floral print and once in Pretty Peacock card stock for the “shadow”.

I sneaking this card in just under the wire at the Inspired By Challenge…I was inspired by the sketch, although I did turn it horizontally and by the word “Mom”.

Take care,

Rosanne

Mother’s Day Card & Gift Card Pocket

MOTHER'S DAY CARD AND GIFT CARD HOLDER - Rosanne mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Hello and happy Monday.  It’s been a wet and dreary few days here in PA and today is just more of the same.  While I wait for a beautiful May day, I’ll just create pretty floral projects.  My share today is one of those projects.  With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I created this card and coordinating gift card “pocket”.  The pocket is actually a small (very small) bag that was purchased at JoAnn’s.  They came in a pack in white and kraft.  They are the perfect fit for a gift card and are easily embellished.

Along with embellishing the envelope, I really enjoy embellishing the inside of my cards.  I think by handcrafting our cards, we have the opportunity to create really unique cards inside and out and I love that!

And here’s a look at the gift card pocket…

This combination of card and gift pocket is perfect for all the upcoming occasions: Mother’s Day, Graduations, Father’s Day, as well as, the regular occasions:  Birthday, Anniversary, Thank You.

Lastly, I’m playing along with the current Tic Tac Toe Challenge…I chose a few different ways to play.

(1) Left side diagonal: Flowers, Free, Die Cuts (2) Second column down: Butterflies, Free, Patterned Paper (3) Third row down: Gem/Embellishment, Patterned Paper, Die Cuts

I hope you have a wonderful day and are looking forward to a good week ahead.

Take care,

Rosanne

Celebratory Card with Retiring In-Colors

Karen and I are back with another CASEing (Copy & Selectively Editing) Coast 2 Coast.  Karen, in CA  and myself, in PA,  literally live across the country from each other but have enjoyed taking this virtual cross-country stamping trip each month for several years now.  Each month we take turns choosing our direction and this month I chose to highlight Stampin’ Up!’s 2022-2024 retiring In-Colors.

While I didn’t use these colors nearly enough in the last two years, I think they’re such a pretty color palette.  And needless to say, they’ll still be in my craft stash for a long while.

To create this card I cut a 6 x 1/2″ strip of each color from the 6 x 6 In-Color Glimmer paper pad along with 6 1/8″ strips of black cardstock. After gluing each color strip diagonally starting in the lower right corner on a piece of white cardstock, I trimmed the excess “hangover” paper.  Then glued this panel to a mat of black cardstock before gluing it to a white card base.  The sentiment, from the Layering Leaves stamp set, is stamped in Versa-mark ink and heat embossed in black embossing powder.

The inside is embellished to coordinate with the front by cutting the glimmer strips in 1/4″ strips.  The sentiment is also from the SU Layering Leaves stamp set.  I like that the sentiments can be used for a variety of sentiments, so I didn’t have to commit this card to a specific one at the moment.

Thanks for stopping by today and if you haven’t already been out West to see Karen’s lovely card, please head HERE

Kaleidoscope Encouragement Card

Hello and happy Tic Tac Toe Thursday!  Today’s board comes to you courtesy of my teammate Karren and it is full of really fun elements that lend themselves to soooo many interpretations.

Here’s what I came up with….

I chose the middle column down:  Square Card, Die-Cut, Embossing

I pulled out a long ago purchased large stamp from Simon Says Stamps, Kaleidoscope Background and stamped it with Versa-Mark ink and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.  Then I began the very relaxing (to me) exercise of coloring it in using one of my favorite color combinations, blue and peach.  After coloring I cut the image down to 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ and matted it on blue and silver card stock.  I wrapped a piece of silver twine around the layers before adhering them to the 4″ x 4″ peach card base. Both sentiments are from SU’s Wonderful Thoughts stamps and die set.  The sentiment on the front is also embossed in silver.

I created the envelope using the long forgotten Envelope Punch Board.

I hope you’ll head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge to check out Design Team O’s creations and share your own with us.

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care,

Rosanne
