Rain or Shine Encouragement Card – Paper Player #679

Stampin Up Rain or Shine Encourgement Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

My card today is reflective of our weather this week.  But unlike the weather, it made me smile! It features the retired SU DSP:  Rain or Shine.  I cut a piece of this patterned paper for the card front then cut the matching umbrellas and adhered them using dimensionals to create a lot of dimension.  Full disclosure…I used the Brother Scan n Cut to cut the umbrellas.  The sentiment is from Spellbinders Cute Boots stamp set. And just for fun, I added some raindrop embellishments.

Newtons Nook Easter Lily Easter Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Happy Sunday!  I’m popping in with a quick card share today. I created an Easter card using a pretty stamp and die set:  Newton’s Nook Easter Lily.  I love the simplicity of the lily image and sentiment.

My layout inspiration came from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge HERE.

Thanks for stopping in today.  I hope you’re looking forward to a good week ahead.

Take care,

Rosanne

Springtime Greetings – PP678

Are you ready for Spring?  Even though it’s been a relatively mild winter here in SE Pennsylvania, it’s still been winter!  But we can see the end.  I’ve put away all the winter and winter holiday stamps and papers and brought out my Spring and Easter goodies and I’m looking forward to creating some bright and cheery cards.

I’m starting off with this charming little “deer” from Newton’s Nook Woodland Spring stamp set.  Isn’t she darling with her flower crown?  I used Copic markers to color the image.  The sentiment is from this month’s Paper Pumpkin kit.  Even though I’ve had this set for a few years, I never get tired of the adorable images.

HERE is another card I created from this set.

The inspiration for the layout came from this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge HERE…I have to admit that when I first saw the sketch, I was a little intimidated by all the layers but it was really fun to choose the coordinating patterns for each layer.  Thanks, Ann Marie!

Thanks for looking in today and I hope you’re looking forward to some warm Spring days ahead.

Take care,

Rosanne

Two Tone Floral Thinking of You Card – February CC2C

Let’s take a cross country trip from here in PA to Karen Hallam in CA for another CASEing (Copy and Selectively Edit) crafting adventure.  This is a fun collaboration between Karen and I that we both enjoy each month.  I hope you’ll join us and enjoy it, as well.

This month was my turn to choose our direction. Our theme is “You should frame that”.  And here’s what I came up with…

Stampin Up Two Tone Floral Thinking of You Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

By this time of year in the Mid-Atlantic, most are over the winter and so ready to move on to Spring.  And I’m right with them.  So for this card, I pulled out SU’s Two-Tone Floral stamps and dies to create a pretty Thinking of You card.  I also used my favorite color combination which is light orange or peach and blue.  The specific inks here are Pale Papaya (ret), Pumpkin Pie, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy. The two step stamping process was precise and easy using the Stamparatus.  The frame is MFT’s Rectangle Frames and the sentiment is from SU’s Climbing Roses (ret) stamp set.

I’m trying to be more intentional in my card making this year.  By this I mean that I want to have a reason to send the cards that I make.  I’ll be sending this to a friend that I reconnected with after many years who suddenly lost her husband several months ago.  I think it’s nice to send these cards periodically to let friends know that they’re on your mind.  Hopefully, it will brighten her day!

If you haven’t already, please head West to see Karen’s “framed” artwork HERE

Thanks for traveling with us today and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Take care,

Rosanne
