Back to Where it All Started…Let’s Catch Up

Hello there! It certainly has been a while since my last blog post. I would like to take a moment to catch up with you. Back in the Fall, I found myself losing my stamping mojo quite a bit and feeling very uninspired to create. My posting became very sporadic and I felt I was losing my creative direction. So I decided to take a break and then decided to actually give up this blog.

Then life threw my husband and I a pretty big curveball when our 21 month Dachshund puppy, Olive, became very ill due to a rare vaccine reaction. We spent January, February and part of March literally trying to save her life. It was not meant to be and sweet Olive crossed the rainbow bridge in mid-March. Needless to say, we were (and still are a bit) devastated! We enjoyed her so much and being empty-nesters, she was our baby.

Looking for something to ease the pain and stress, I turned back to stamping and realized just how much I missed it and how much pleasure and relief it gave me. I immediately regretted not having my blog. Luckily, Brian Watt was able to retrieve the blog intact and get it back online. Thank you, Brian!

So I’m getting back to my stamping roots. I began my stamping journey in 2000 while attending an old-fashioned Stampin’ Up! home demonstration. I loved it from the beginning. I did and still do enjoy other products but Stampin’ Up! has always felt like home base. So I’ll be basically concentrating on SU products (new and retired) with a “rogue” post here and there. If you’re still here…thanks very much for sticking with me. I’m looking forward to creating with the products available in the new Annual Catalog and to give some of the older products you may already have a “new life”. So thanks again for being a part of my stamping adventure here and let’s continue this creative journey together!

The note card featured above is just an all-purpose “hello” card that I thought would be appropriate for my first “getting back to stamping & blogging” post. All the products used are listed below.

Olive 5/28/23 – 3/11/25

Sincerely, Rosanne

  6. Rosanne, I’m going to give this a short try first as I never seem to know how to get these comments to go. But to let you know how heart broken I am over Olive. 😢 I had no idea.

  7. Ok, I guess it went. Yay! You’ve been so loyal on my IG, again, I had no idea any of this was going on with you. We know exactly what you’re going through after we lost our special needs Pockets and “replaced” him with our crazy Biscuit, which of course, you can’t really do even though Biscuit is wonderful and just what we needed. We just had a meltdown today over Pockets with something Biscuit did that Pockets used to do. You’re in my thoughts and prayers. Funny, I’ve had so much trouble with my emails that I rarely check them. So glad I did today and welcome back!!
    Love & hugs, Sherri

    • Thanks for the kind comment, Sherri! I always enjoy seeing your cards on IG and your sweet Biscuit always makes me smile. Although our time with Olive was short, we have many happy memories of her. And I know we’ll make room in our hearts for another pup. They just make life better!
