Sending Flowers with Spotlight on Nature

Before I share today’s project, I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who left such kind comments on my return to the blog. I so appreciated all the condolences for Olive.

With the upcoming debut of the new Annual Catalog, the Online Exclusives and the Last Chance list, I’m not really sure what the fate of the the Spotlight on Nature stamp set is so I wanted to give it a “spotlight” today.

Here’s the details…

Measurements

  • Card Base: Very Vanilla Card Stock measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4.
  • Gold Foil: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
  • Season of Green & Gold DSP: 4 x 5 1/4

I created the “brown paper wrap” using a doily from my stash. After stamping and coloring the floral image, I cut the flowers apart and arranged them in the wrap. Flower arranging is even fun on paper!

I thought the sentiment, from the (retired) Simply Zinnia stamp set, was perfect for the wrapped bouquet. It’s stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed in gold. The banner is flagged using a square punch.

It’s all about the little details…like the gold baker’s twine, gold adhesive sequins and the Tiny Bee Trinket.

The inside sentiment is from the Country Birdhouse stamp set. I’ve been using this sentiment a lot as it isn’t really occasion specific. Although this card is not really occasion specific, I think it would make a perfect Mother’s Day card.

Thanks for stopping by today…it’s really good to be back!
