I’m sharing Jeanie Stark’s weekly Mystery Fun Fold card called a Double Panel Flap Fun Fold (quite a mouthful!).

I’m sure I mentioned it before, but I absolutely love to cross-stitch. I’ve been cross-stitching since 1980, even before I was married. I totally relax when I’m stitching. That’s not to say that paper crafting doesn’t provide relaxation but it’s just so easy to sit down and pick up my needle and stitch while sitting in my favorite chair with sweet Hazel on my lap. So, today I’m combining two of my favorite hobbies with this pretty birthday card for a stitching friend. Do you have any other favorite hobbies beside paper crafting?
Much of the heavy lifting here was taken care of by the awesome Paper Rose Embroidery 6 x 6 paper collection. The stitched sentiment and the embroidery hoop are from Neat & Tangled Hand Stitched stamps and dies. Neat & Tangled is another stamp company that’s no longer in business but one that I’ll still be using their wonderful products. I have such fond memories of taking card making classes with my friends given by Danielle at Neat & Tangled.
So let’s take a look at what makes this card a Double Panel Flap Fun Fold…
You saw the front of the card above and here’s the first panel you open to…all the elements on this panel were cut from the paper collection.

And the next flap…

The sentiment is from a Gina K stamp set. Gina K always has the best sentiment fonts!
I really enjoyed making this card with a stitch theme. You can get all the dimensions and details HERE on Jeanie’s blog. It’s a lot of fun playing along each week and discovering new folds.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you have a good weekend and if you are in the path of the BIG storm that you’ll stay safe and cozy enjoying your favorite hobby or hobbies.
Take care,
Rosanne

Absolutely gorgeous card combining your favorite hobbies! Thanks fo sharing and playing along with my mystery stamping! I am hoping to get some relaxing hobby time in while snowed in this weekend! Unprecedented snow forecast for the eastern shore! I need to work on cards and decoupaging some shells for Valentine’s Day! Stay warm and safe this weekend my friend!
Thanks, Jeanie! Hope you have a cozy weekend!

Thank you, Carol!
This is a beautiful card. Love the colors!
Thanks very much, Fay!
I am so glad I found your blog (via Pinterest)! Your cards are wonderful! I LOVE how you used the paper elements on your card and the colors are so warm and cozy.
Here is SW PA, we got about 10 inches of snow and I had plans to stamp the day away but my stamp area is in our finished basement and the falling snow was too pretty to miss, so I hung out in the living room with my husband and completed a jigsaw puzzle while he watched football.
Thanks again, Nicole! I’m in SE PA (West Grove, Chester County) and we got about the same amount. My stamp area is also in our finished basement (with only one window) so I totally understand not wanting to miss the falling snow. I do the same!
