Karen Hallam (CA) and I (PA) are back with our monthly cross country stamping adventure. This month we’re traveling from California to Pennsylvania, so that means Karen chose our direction. Karen had a great idea and one we haven’t done before. She suggested we go back in the CC2C archives and choose one of the other’s cards that we really liked and CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) it. Karen and I have been doing this fun collaboration since October 2019, so it wasn’t easy to choose one of Karen’s cards as they’re all wonderful. But this is one that really caught my eye…

A few of the things that I really like about this card are (1) there’s books! (2) the woodgrain DSP which gives a touch of faux texture (3) the bold sentiment and (4) the classic vibe.
The books are what initially drew me in, so that’s where I started with my CASE of this card…

I changed the orientation from Karen’s portrait to landscape. I cut a row of books using the same All About Autumn Designer Series Paper. The bold sentiment is from SU’s retired Celebrate You dies and is cut twice. Once with Pretty Peacock card stock and again with Copper Foil. I offset the the die cuts to give a shadow effect.

I haven’t stamped an inside sentiment since I’m not sure who will be receiving this card or for what occasion. I think it would make a wonderful graduation card for someone graduating from a Master’s Program or from Law School. I only have one graduation card to make this year and it’s for my great niece who’s graduation from High School, so I’ll be making her a brighter, more festive card. This would also make a nice Father’s Day card.
If you haven’t already come from Karen’s blog, please head over HERE to see what Karen’s CASE of one of my cards.
Thanks for crossing the country with Karen and I and we hope you’ll join us again next month.

Beautiful CASE, Rosanne! I enjoyed this exercise very much ~ maybe we should do it again sometime! Your card would make an excellent law school or PhD grad card! Thanks for the idea ❤️
