Mystery Slide-Out Fun Fold: Cute as a Bug

It’s been a few weeks since I participated in Jeanie Stark’s Mystery Monday Fun Fold Challenge so it’s good to get back to it. This week’s card is a slide-out fun fold which gives it an interactive component that’s really fun. With this in mind, I wanted to create a fun, whimsical card. And I think SU’s Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper along with the Sweet Bugs coordinating dies does the trick.

Since the Sweet Bugs dies coordinate with some of the images on the DSP, creating this card was a snap. Not to mention, that Jeanie’s instructions were super easy. All the details, dimensions and directions can be found on her blog HERE. I simply cut the little bugs from a sheet of DSP and added them to the DSP pattern on the card front using dimensionals. I think they look really cute resting on the mushrooms, especially the bookworm bug!

Opening the card, reveals the slide-out feature where a sentiment can be added.

I really enjoyed creating this card. I’ll be saving it to send to my grandsons to celebrate the end of the school year and beginning of summer vacation, which they are both really looking forward to, along with my daughter (their mom) who is a 5th grade teacher and has had a bit of a rough year. I need to make her a special card, too!!

Thanks for stopping by…enjoy your day!
