Some Summer Love

Boy, am I on a roll! I haven’t created this much in awhile and I’m really enjoying diving back in. Today, I’m bringing you a card inspired by yet another challenge, The Paper Players #793. Ann’s theme is Summer Love. It reminds me of the 60’s Summer of Love which I wasn’t yet old enough to understand the true meaning of that…IYKYK!

…and here’s my interpretation of Summer Love and it’s a far cry from the 60’s!

This is a 5″ x 7″ card to accommodate the focal point, which is cut from Graphic 45’s, By The Sea paper collection. This collection has been in my stash for several years and every now and then I find a reason to pull it out. I used three different patterns from the collection. And as you can see, the fabulous paper did all the heavy lifting for my card, including the sentiment. The card is matted on a piece of Misty Moonlight card stock. Misty Moonlight ribbon and an Anchor Trinket (SU) completed the card front.

Steve and I will be celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary this October, so I’m saving this for then while looking for just the right sentiment to stamp inside.

On a separate note, I mentioned earlier that we’re dog sitting my daughter and grandsons dog, Pickles, this week. Well, it’s been rather hectic around here as our dog, Hazel is feeling a bit put out at times and Pickles is just trying to get along! He’s bigger than her but she doesn’t seem to realize that. We don’t have a fenced in yard, so I’ve been dog walking each of them multiple times a day. I’m sure my neighbors are just shaking their heads when they see me go by with two different dogs all through the day. Here they are and Steve’s face says it all!

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
