Animal Outing Gift Card Holder

I have another sweet little project from the Animal Outing suite of products.  Like my post HERE, I used this fun and unique collection for a non-traditional themed baby card.  This time, however, I used them to create a gift card holder for a baby shower gift.

Even though the Mini Treat Bag thinlits are retired, they are still my go-to to create gift card holders.  I think they make the perfect presentation for any occasion.

The tag was punched with the Scalloped Tag Punch once in Calypso Coral card stock and again in Whisper White.  I cut the Whisper White card stock at 1 1/2″ and centered it in the punch to create the layering.  Two small strips of DSP are added to each side of the Whisper White tag before gluing it to the Calypso Coral tag.

The kangaroo is stamped and cropped from the Animal Outing bundle and colored with Stampin’ Blends.  The small heart is from a die in the Mini Treat Bag thinlits.

The inside card with the gift card pocket is Calypso Coral card stock measuring 3 1/2″ X 6 1/2″ and is scored on the longer side at 2″.  I glued a small tag found in the Wood Crate framelits to the middle of this layer to use a little pull.  Another pattern from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper collection is cut at 3 3/8″ x 4 3/8″ and glued to the upper portion of the pocket.  After folding the 2″ side up, I used a small strip of Tear and Tape to secure the sides to create a pocket. The sentiment is from the Special Celebrations stamp set.

Here you can see how the gift card fits in the pocket.

I’m giving this as a gift for a baby shower, but this would make a fun gift for a child by just changing the sentiments.

Toil & Trouble with Cauldron Bubble

Stampin Up Cauldron Bubble Halloween Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Today I’m sharing my first Halloween card.  I love to send cards for all occasions and Halloween is no exception.  Cauldron Bubble Bundle has such fun stamp images and coordinating framelits.  There are so many cute little “accessory” stamps in this set that also have matching framelits.  I seem to gravitate to the small images and you’ll see what I mean with this card.

Shaker cards are one of my favorite type of cards to make.  They are so much fun to make and equally fun to receive.

The color of combination of Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist was dictated by the patterned paper.  This is from a pad I purchased at Michaels a few years ago.  I have a large collection of patterned paper from so many different companies and it seems a shame not use it.  This one has lots of beady little eyes on it.

The stitched rectangle frame is from My Favorite Things.  This frame makes creating shaker cards so easy.  Before sealing the window, I added some sequins.  Here’s a little trick I do when adding sequins to shaker cards:  glue a few in place towards the top and sides so they all don’t settle on the bottom.  After creating the window, I added the cauldron with the cute little frogs jumping out.  I love these little frogs and this is one example of the “little gems” in this set!

Lastly, the sentiment is cropped with a die from the Stitched Label framelits.

I kept the inside very simple with another sentiment from the Cauldron Bubble bundle.

The envelope is probably my favorite part of this project.  I just couldn’t get enough of the frogs!!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I’ll leave you today with a glimpse of some of the projects Stampin’ Up! created with this fun bundle.

Painted Harvest Thank You

Painted Harvest was one of my favorite seasonal stamps sets last year.  So I was really pleased when it returned in the Annual Catalog. Although I created a card with a definite Fall feel, this set is much more versatile and can be used to create year-round.

I love these sunflowers and the two step stamping allows you to create so many beautiful color combinations.  I choose the combination of Crushed Curry / Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry / Calypso Coral for the flowers here.  The leaves are also a two step combination.  However, I only used Pear Pizzazz ink.

The flowers were hand cut with paper snips and the leaves were easily punched using the Leaf Punch.  After adhering the sunflowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I tucked the leaves behind them with a little glue.  The sentiment panel is also popped with Dimensionals.

I wrapped some Linen Thread around the Early Espresso and DSP layer before gluing it to the card base, but with all the flowers and leaves it seemed to get lost!

I thought this pattern from the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper collection was the perfect backdrop to the vibrant sunflowers.

I left the inside blank with just a bit of DSP to include a personal note of thanks.  Again, the envelope is simply embellished with a scrap of DSP.

I think creating this card has finally put me in a Fall frame of mind.  I just wish our weather would get on board now!

Thanks for stopping by today.

A Cup of Get Well Wishes

Happy Friday, friends!  I still have the Time for Tea bundle on my desk and just had to create another card with it.  Today I created a Get Well card.  I never seem to have one on hand when I need it, so I’ll put this one away just in case.

Stampin Up Time for Tea Get Well Card Idea - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I love anything that has to do with tea…even a teacup full of flowers!  Here are the few details.

  • The A2 (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) card base is Whisper White thick card stock.
  • The next layer is Petal Pink card stock and measures 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″.
  • The pretty oval cut out layer is from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut DSP.
  • I adhered a pattern in Petal Pink from the Subtles 6 x 6 DSP onto the oval panel with snail adhesive.
  • Next this panel is glued directly to the Petal Pink card stock.Stampin Up Time for Tea Get Well Card Idea- Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping
  • I wrapped a piece of Petal Pink ribbon from the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack around this layer before adhering it to the Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • The sentiment is from the Apron of Love stamp set.  Sometimes you can find just the right sentiment hiding in other sets.  I love when that happens!  It’s stamped in Soft Suede ink and cut with a thinlit from the Merry Christmas Thinlits, which are in the holiday catalog.
  • The teacup and flowers were stamped and cut using the Time for Tea bundle.  I arranged the flowers in the cup using a few dimensionals and gluing some directly to the cup.
  • The teacup is then popped with dimensionals onto the striped DSP.

  • I combined two sentiments from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set (another that I recently used and was conveniently  sitting on my desk) for the inside.  They’re stamped in Soft Suede ink.
  • As usual, I added a bit of DSP to both the inside and the envelope front for some added interest.Stampin Up Time for Tea Get Well Card Idea - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt StampingAlthough I created this as a Get Well card, you could easily change the sentiment to create this card for any number of occasions.

Thanks very much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and if you are in the path of Hurricane Florence, my thoughts and prayers are with you.  Please be safe!

Take care,

Rosanne
