Picture Book Snowman for PP425 Challenge

Welcome Back!  I hope your week is going well.  Since I had Monday off from school, this week is just speeding by.

One of my stamping goals for this year is to enter more challenges.  I used to enter them all the time and found that they really stretched my creativity while giving me a lot of inspiration.  So today I’m participating in the Paper Players Clean and Simple Challenge.

Even though my card doesn’t depict a “snowy day” scene, this cute little guy can surely be found outside on one!

I used the Simon Says Stamps Picture Book Snowman Wafer to cut the frosty fella.  I cut his body from white glitter paper to give him quite a sparkle.

Even though it’s winter the patterned paper from Lawn Fawn’s Perfectly Plaid Spring collection really cheers things up.

I had so much fun making these for a swap I participated in recently.  Here are a few more….

Thanks again for stopping by!

Take care,

Rosanne

Bold Gingham Valentine

Stampin Up Meant to Be Valentine Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Today’s card features my favorite card making technique…paper piecing. I totally relax when putting together cards like this. It’s just like doing a jigsaw puzzle for me. And this card came together exactly as I envisioned it.

As soon as I saw the cluster of hearts in the Be Mine Stitched Framelits, I was sold on the Meant to Be Bundle. There are other great framelits in this set but this is the ONE that did it for me!

Red, white and black is among my favorite color combinations. The black and white gingham was just the icing on the cake! It’s a pattern included in the Botanical Butterflies Designer Series Paper that is FREE during Sale-a-bration.

The sentiment is from another set in the Occasions Catalog, Vibrant Vases and is heat embossed.

The inside sentiment is from the Meant to Be stamp set and the sentiment on the envelope front is from the retired set, Good Greetings.

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Take care,

Rosanne

New Year Calendars

Happy 2019!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are ready for the New Year.  Entering the new year always calls for a new calendar.  So I whipped some up using some new products from the 2019 Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration Catalog.  You’ll be able to order from both on January 3rd.

Stampin Up Vibrant Vases Calendars - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

The new Gingham Gala 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper dictated the color palette for these cute little calendars.  I chose Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove and Highland Heather.  And as an added bonus Stampin’ Up! is offering the Organdy Ribbon in the same colors as a FREE item during Sale-a-bration.

The flowers are from the Vibrant Vases stamp set, which coordinates with the Vase Builder punch offered in the Annual Catalog.  Since I already purchased the punch as a bundle along with the Varied Vases stamp set, I was happy to get some extra mileage from products I already had.  I stamped the vase on card stock with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed in white.  The flowers are a two-step stamp.  The leaves were colored with a Stampin’ Write Marker in Pear Pizzazz.

The sentiment is from another new set called Well Said.  This set is chock full of great sentiments for so many occasions.  I know this one will get a lot of use for a long time!  I stamped it in the coordinating ink color and cut it using a die from the Petals & More Thinlits.

A Fun Holiday Tag

It’s two days before Christmas and I’m just popping in with my first post of December!  I have been creating Christmas cards and 3D projects but just haven’t had the time to photograph them and write up the coordinating blog posts.  But when I saw the challenge at TGIF Challenges, I just had to enter..

While I really enjoy giving handmade/homemade gifts all year long, Christmas makes it just a little more fun.  Recently, I’ve discovered a few stamp companies with simply adorable sets that I just had to have.  And the one I used on this project has a special meaning for me….

Hello Bluebird Fall Friends Christmas Tag - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I work in an Elementary School library, so this cute, bookish reindeer stole my heart.  This set, called Fall Friends, is from a “new to me” stamp company called Hello Bluebird.  I’ve purchased several other adorable sets from this company that I can’t wait to create with.  This stamp was perfect to create tags for the homemade chocolate covered pretzels I gave to my co-workers at school.  It would also be a sweet tag or bookmark for Book Club members.

I colored this cutie with copic markers.  She’s layered on an oval and scalloped oval from SU Layering Oval framelits. I used some plaid patterned paper from my stash. I did stamp a message on the back, however, I forgot to photograph it.

My daughter, Emily and I had a good time making these pretzels last weekend and my grandson, Jack had a good time eating a few of the broken ones. Here he is surveying our progress!

Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you a very Happy Holiday shared with those you love.
