Birthday Balloons with Bubbles & Fizz

Stampin Up Bubbles and Fizz Balloon Birthday Card- Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Happy Monday!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  I had a busy but fun weekend.  I work at a local library and helped put on a Mother’s Day Soap Making Class on Saturday which was a lot of fun.  Nothing better than getting to craft at work!  Then my 10 month old grandson, Jack, had a sleep over at Nanny and Pop Pop’s house on Saturday night.  There wasn’t much sleeping but any time spent with this happy little boy is precious.

I’ve noticed lately that most of my cards have been floral themed, which is fine as I do love flowers and Stampin’ Up! has the best floral stamp sets.  But I thought it was time for a little variety.  Today’s card came together fast and easy using the Balloon Bouquet Punch and Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper.

I stamped this fun and festive sentiment from the Celebrate You stamp set on Whisper White card stock in Bermuda Bay ink. It really puts the “happy” in Happy Birthday.  This set is on the retirement list and will only be available until May 31st.

Then using the balloon punch, I punched a variety of balloons from the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper collection.  Next, I positioned each balloon to determine where to draw the line that would represent the balloon string. The lines are drawn using a ruler and fine point Sharpie pen.  I did this one balloon at time.  Once all the lines were drawn, the balloons were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside is another fun birthday sentiment.  This one is from the Better Together stamp set and is also stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.

A strip of DSP and a few very thin strips of card stock added to the envelope front created a coordinated envelope.

Just a reminder that there’s only a few more day left to take advantage of the 50% off Paper Pumpkin promotion…I can’t wait to see what May’s kit contains!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you’re looking forward to a wonderful week ahead!

Simply Sweet Mother’s Day

Stampin Up Bike Ride Mother's Day Card idea - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I’m sending a bunch of these sweet Mother’s Day cards to a sweet bunch of Mothers!  I feel so fortunate to have such wonderful friends who are also beautiful Mothers.

I had a lot of fun creating these little note card sized cards.  I remember before I started stamping and making my own cards, I used to gravitate to the small cards in the Hallmark store and they sort of became my little trademark when sending cards.  Now I love making them as well as sending these petite notes.

The card base is a Whisper White Note Card with a mat of either Daffodil Delight, Calpyso Coral, Real Red or Sweet Sugarplum card stock cut 1/8″ smaller and a mat of Whisper White card stock cut an additional 1/8″ smaller.  After adhering these layers, I used a framelit from the Layering Circles framelits to cut a circle on the front of each card.  Then using a scalloped die from the Layering Circles, I created the frame around the circle.  This created a “window” for the basket of flowers.

The sentiment is from the March Paper Pumpkin kit and is stamped in Basic Black ink.

I absolutely love this little basket of flowers created using stamps and dies from the Bike Ride bundle.  The little accessory stamps in this bundle are adorable and so versatile.  I guess the saying “it’s the little things” would definitely apply here!  Stampin’ Write markers made coloring quick and easy. They’re popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts stamp set that is soon to be retired.

And because I thoroughly enjoyed coloring these flowers, I added them to the front of the envelope, too!

Here’s what’s happening now…don’t miss out!

I hope you have a wonderful day,

You Are My Anchor – Paper Pumpkin Alternate

I recently posted a sneak peek that Stampin’ Up! provided for the April Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I thought it was cute enough but that was until I actually received my kit and starting playing with it.  Well, cute enough was an understatement…this kit is SUPER cute and so much fun!  Here’s the Stampin’ Up! video.

I usually don’t make all the cards in the kit as they’re presented but I thought each of these cute 3×3 cards along with the box to hold them were so perfect that I did make 1 set mostly just as is. I only made some small tweaks here and there.  These are my cards…

One notable change I made was not to tie the box closed.  I wanted to be able to open and close the box without untying it each time.

Now for my alternate card…I’m saving this card as a Father’s Day card for my husband, Steve.

The card base is Whisper White thick card stock.  The Island Indigo anchor printed card from the Paper Pumpkin kit was cut to 3″ x 5 1/2″ and adhered to the left side of the card.  Then a 1/8″ strip of Calypso Coral card stock is glued next to it.  Lastly, the Island Indigo striped card was cut into a 1/4″ strip.

The sentiment is stamped on a label that’s also included in the kit.  It’s stamped using the Island Indigo ink spot that came with the kit. I popped the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I also used dimensionals to adhere the anchor which is a die-cut included in the kit.

I think the tiny die-cut hearts are just adorable and were the perfect accent on this card.

Using more of the striped card, I embellished the envelope flap.

This kit, like all the Paper Pumpkin kits, came with so many elements to make many more cards.  I still have a few more ideas to explore.

Also, if you are a member of my Paper Pumpkin Club and subscribe through me, you have already received tutorials for three more bonus cards and an additional 3-D project.  These projects will not appear on the blog and are sent exclusively to my Paper Pumpkin subscribers.

Now is the perfect time to become a Paper Pumpkin subscriber.  There’s still two weeks left to take advantage of the special 50% off for two months promotion.  You can read all about it HERE.

If you have any questions about this promotion, please feel free to contact me and I’ll be happy to help.  Even though I’m still playing with this kit, I can’t wait to see May’s kit.  It’s always fun to find that bright orange box in my mailbox!

Thanks for starting the week off with me…have a wonderful day!

Celebrating & Sharing What I Love -TTTC #045

It’s Thursday and that means a brand new Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I had the honor of creating this week’s board.  I hope you’ll find the elements creative as well as fun and will play along with us.

For my card today, I chose the first row across:  Floral, Metallic, Die Cut/Punch

I think what I’m celebrating most about this card is the fabulous new Designer Series Paper collection, Share What You Love.  I shared another card featuring a pattern from this collection HERE.  As I mentioned before, this paper is absolutely beautiful with hints of metallic in some of the patterns.  Unfortunately, the pictures really don’t convey the total beauty.  But please take my word for it…it’s stunning! You won’t even have to wait until the new Annual Catalog goes live on June 1st to order it…it will be available for purchase as part of the Share What You Love Suite on May 1st.

Share What You Love Designer Series Paper #146926

I’m also really pleased with the card stock colors that this collection coordinates with.  Tranquil Tide was not a color I used very often, if at all.  But look how pretty it looks with this floral pattern.  And a returning favorite color, Mint Macaron is featured also.  Luckily, I still had a few pieces of it to use on today’s card.

Stampin Up Share What You Love DSP Birthday Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

The card base is my go-to Whisper White thick card stock.  What a difference this heavier card stock makes! It just give the card so much “heft”!  Each additional layer is cut 1/8″ smaller than the last.  The next layer is Silver foil paper, followed by Tranquil Tide card stock.  I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper at 3 7/8″ x 3 1/4″, then on the 3 1/4″ side cut it again at 1 3/4″.  This gave me two pieces measuring 3 7/8″ x 1 3/4″ and 3 7/8″ x 1 1/2″ that I positioned from the top and bottom.  I trimmed each piece with a 3 7/8″ x 1/4″ strip of Silver Foil paper in the center of the card.

Using the Big Shot along with the Precision Base Plate, I cut the celebrate from the Celebrate You thinlits.  These were a free items from the Sale-a-Bration catalog but will be available in the new Annual Catalog.  So if you missed them, you’ll be able to purchase them soon.  I use this particular thinlit a lot!  It’s cut twice  here: once in Silver Foil paper and again in Mint Macaron card stock.  The offset layering gives it a little more dimension and shadowing.

The inside sentiment, from the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set is stamped in Tranquil Tide ink.

Adding small strips of Designer Series Paper and card stock are quick and easy ways to embellish the inside of cards and outsides of envelopes.  Besides creating a very pretty card, it’s a great way to use up those little scraps.

I hope you enjoyed another little peek at this beautiful new Designer Series Paper which you’ll be able to order next week.  I also hope that you’ll head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and see all the creative designs and play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day,

Rosanne
