Happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I had a busy but fun weekend. I work at a local library and helped put on a Mother’s Day Soap Making Class on Saturday which was a lot of fun. Nothing better than getting to craft at work! Then my 10 month old grandson, Jack, had a sleep over at Nanny and Pop Pop’s house on Saturday night. There wasn’t much sleeping but any time spent with this happy little boy is precious.

I’ve noticed lately that most of my cards have been floral themed, which is fine as I do love flowers and Stampin’ Up! has the best floral stamp sets. But I thought it was time for a little variety. Today’s card came together fast and easy using the Balloon Bouquet Punch and Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper.

I stamped this fun and festive sentiment from the Celebrate You stamp set on Whisper White card stock in Bermuda Bay ink. It really puts the “happy” in Happy Birthday. This set is on the retirement list and will only be available until May 31st.

Then using the balloon punch, I punched a variety of balloons from the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper collection. Next, I positioned each balloon to determine where to draw the line that would represent the balloon string. The lines are drawn using a ruler and fine point Sharpie pen. I did this one balloon at time. Once all the lines were drawn, the balloons were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside is another fun birthday sentiment. This one is from the Better Together stamp set and is also stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.

A strip of DSP and a few very thin strips of card stock added to the envelope front created a coordinated envelope.
Just a reminder that there’s only a few more day left to take advantage of the 50% off Paper Pumpkin promotion…I can’t wait to see what May’s kit contains!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you’re looking forward to a wonderful week ahead!
