Double Flap Fun Fold Gift Card Holder

Happy Monday! I coming to you today on a very dreary Monday. It’s cold, wet and windy here in SE Pennsylvania…perfect crafting weather! I was a bit MIA last week and didn’t get to post my Fun Fold card for Jeanie’s Mystery Fun Fold series. I had all the elements on my desk but not yet assembled. So, like most days I was up very early (4 am early) this morning and finished it. Better late than never, as this is a card that I’ll be sending to one of my daughters for Halloween.

You may recognize the Designer Series Paper I used here if you’ve been around Stampin’ Up! for a while, it’s the Monster Bash DSP, which has been retired for a few years. Like many, I never use all the holiday DSP before it retires and have no problem with using it beyond retirement!

As mentioned above, the inspiration for this card came from Jeanie Stark’s Mystery Monday Challenge. You can see all the instructions to create it on Jeanie’s blog HERE. I did customize it to hold a gift card. So let me take you through the way the card unfolds…

Here’s the closed front. The not-so-scary vampire is framed with a frame die from the Storybook Friends dies. The Crushed Curry panel is embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder.

And with the first flap opened…

Next with the second flap opened to the inside…

The sentiment and bat images are from the (retired) Wonderfully Wicked stamp set.

This fun fold was really fun to create and I know will be well received, especially with the gift card!!

Take care,

Rosanne

Two for Tuesday: Autumn Toile Masculine Cards

My Two for Tuesday card share today features my current favorite Autumn Designer Series Paper, Autumn Toile. I like this paper collection so much that I have a feeling I may actually use the whole paper pack soon! Both cards today are masculine cards, which are cards that I don’t have many in my card stash. So it’s nice to have these ready to go when needed.

The first card here is (obviously) a birthday card using two coordinating patterns from the DSP.

…and here’s the inside.

Both sentiments are from my stash.

The second card is a Get Well card. All my current Get Well cards are florally and definitely not appropriate for a man. So, again, I’m happy to have this one in my stash, as well.

I wish I had made an extra card of each while I had all the paper and supplies out. Do you usually make more than one of the same card to have on hand?

Thanks for stopping by today…see you again soon!

Take care,

Rosanne

Sending Cheerful Healing Hugs – PP757 Sketch Challenge

I’m playing along with The Paper Players sketch challenge HERE…this was such a fun sketch as it is open to so many interpretations.

Here’s mine…

Today’s share is a bright and cheery Get Well card. I created a floral wreath from an image and die from the Gallery Blooms Bundle. I really like this flower image because you can determine what kind of flower it is simply by coloring it. I’ve seen it colored in pretty pastels or bright bold colors. I’m choosing to believe that my flowers are mini sunflowers.

After stamping, coloring and cutting the flowers, I adhered them to a die cut circle to form the wreath. Then using additional circle dies added the sentiment, which is from the retired So Sentimental stamp set, to the center. The vertical ribbon is a retired SU Cherry Cobbler ribbon from my stash. And the embossing folder (which if you look closely is upside down…so look away quickly!) is the Gathering Leaves EF.

I hope your week is going well. Our has been a bit quiet as our Philadelphia Phillies have had the week off before the playoffs start on Saturday and Red October truly begins!!

Take care,

Rosanne

Fun Fold Friday: Traditions of Christmas Spanner Fun Fold

As been the routine lately, each Friday I share a Fun Fold from Jeanie Stark’s Monday Mystery Fun Fold Challenge. And again each week I decide that that week’s fun fold is my favorite. Well, not to deviate from that…this week’s IS my new favorite! You can download the PDF tutorial to create this fun fold on Jeanie’s blog HERE.

I’m really enjoying SU’s Traditions of Christmas suite of products. It’s actually one of my favorite suites in a very long time and I think it makes it so easy to make beautiful cards.

The Designer Series paper did most of the work on this card. The beautiful floral spray is cut using the Christmas Greenery Dies. However, the sentiment is from the Jolly Delivery stamp set.

And the inside sentiment is from the Words of the Seasons stamp set.

After having such a good time creating the first card, I did a second…

This card features the Nest of Winter Designer Series Paper. The sentiment is from the Delicate Pines stamp set.

The inside sentiment is from the Holly Jolly stamp set.

All the products I used on both cards are listed below.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend.

Take care,

Rosanne
