Mystery Monday – Valentine Corner Flip Card

Now that the Holidays are over and put away, it’s time to move onto Valentine’s Day. This is a favorite holiday to create cards for. It just conjures up memories of sharing cards as a child in elementary school, then when my children shared them with their classmates and now as I watch my grandsons do the same. I’ve always sent Valentine’s cards to relatives and surprisingly receive quite a few.

Today’s card is my Mystery Monday Fun Fold entry. The fun is called a Corner Flip Card. As usual for the Mystery Monday challenge, you can find all the directions and details on Jeanie Stark’s blog HERE.

This card is a mash up of mostly retired Stampin’ Up! product that was a lot of fun to put together. Here’s a breakdown of the products:

Cardstock: White, Flirty Flamingo, Powder Pink

Stamps: Country Bouquet (front sentiment), Suite Sayings (inside sentiment) and Corner in Bloom (heat embossed on the inside)

Dies: Be Mine (hearts on front), MFT Bitty Strips (front sentiment)

DSP: All My Love, White and Pink Glitter paper from stash (for hearts)

And a peek inside….

It’s a cold and snowy day here in PA so creating sweet Valentine’s Day cards is the perfect way to spend it. I hope you’re enjoying your day as well!

Sledding with a Winter Bunny – FMS #718

There’s no snow for sledding around here just now but perhaps we’ll see some soon. Now that I’m retired, I look forward to see some snow in the winter. Although, I worked in an elementary school, so I did enjoy my fair share of snow days (without the sledding!).

I’ve had this cute little Winter Bunny stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn for a very long time, so she came to mind when I saw the sketch for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge. The background is SU’s Let It Snow DSP with a layer of white glitter paper cut from W+9’s Landscape Borders die. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom’s, Winter Hello stamp set.

Here’s a peek at the inside…

The two sentiments on the inside are from SU’s Freezing’ Fun stamp set.

Along with using my trove of stamps, dies and paper, I’m trying to be more intentional about making cards that I will actually send. So this card will be going to my sweet grandsons as soon as I see snow in our forecast. On that note, I have many, many cards that I’ve made through the years that I would like to donate. If you know of any organizations that would benefit from them, please let me know…thank you.

I hope you have a wonderful week…

Mystery Fun Fold: Pillar Card

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to the New Year. I was very quiet during the month of December and felt like I needed a bit of a reset…more on that at the end of the post. While resetting, I cleaned and purged my craft area. So with more space and less “stuff”, I’m ready to get back at it! I thought the perfect post to start 2026 would be to participate in Jeanie Stark’s new year of Mystery Monday Fun Fold challenge. You can get the details for the newest challenge on Jeanie’s blog HERE.

Here’s my version of the Pillar Fun Fold card…

I love a seasonal card so I created a winter card using the SU Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper. I really like this paper. It just gives me a quiet and serene feeling.

Let’s take a look at the rest of the card…this photo shows the “pillar” aspect of the fold.

Here is the back of the card…the sentiment on the front and back of the card is from the Hello Winter stamp set from Jaded Blossom stamp company. Isn’t the font fun?

And lastly, this is how the fold fits in an envelope…

As part of my stamping reset that I mentioned above, I finally came to realization that I have way too much product that remains unused or partially used while still purchasing more that will also remain unused or under used. I know this is not something unique to me and that most of us can say the same. I decided to take this year to use many of these products that I purchased because I like them. In this light, I am no longer going to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I’m sure there will be some new products that I will just HAVE to have but I’m going to give it my best effort to use what I have. So with this, I hope you’ll still enjoy my posts and perhaps find some inspiration to use some of your own somewhat neglected but still awesome products.

Thanks for joining me today and I wish you a very happy start to this new year!

With warm regards,

Last Chance for Snowy Delights – CC2C

Welcome to our last cross country trip of 2025. Our trip this month originates in California with Karen Hallam. Karen suggested that we choose a product from Stampin’ Up!’s Last Chance list. The list is fairly long so there was plenty to choose from. Let’s begin with Karen’s beautiful holiday card using the Christmas Greenery Bundle…..

For my card(s), I chose to use a product that is not only on the Last Chance list but one I haven’t used at all yet, the Snowy Delights Dies.

I don’t often make a shaped card and these cards are only as big as the largest snowflake die in the set which makes them pretty cute! The colors are Secret Sea and Cloud Cover along with a white glitter paper for the intricate die.

The sentiment is from a long retired SU stamp set, Good Greetings. Some sets are too good to let go and this is definitely one of those.

And here’s a look inside…

This sentiment is also from a retired SU set, Merry Christmas to All.

If you haven’t been to Karen’s blog HERE, please head over to see all the details on her festive card.

Well that wraps up another year of Creating Coast to Coast. Karen and I look forward to continuing collaborating from across the country in the New Year. Hope you’ll join us!

Take care,

Rosanne
