Friday’s are for fun folds now. Each Friday, I will post a Fun Fold card to end the week. I must admit that I don’t make many of this type of card but with committing to posting one each week, I hope to step up my fun fold game. This week I’m starting off with a simple yet pretty birthday card featuring the Cottage Wreath bundle.

The “fun” in the fold is the way it opens…

Here’s the details…
Measure & Cut
- Basic White Thick card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- Petal Pink card stock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ (cut 2)
- Country Gingham DSP: 5 1/4″ x 4″
- White Embossed closure strip: 4 1/2″ x 1 1/2″, score at 1 1/2″
- Basic White card stock: 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside)
Details
- Glue the Petal Pink and Country Gingham DSP to the card base.
- Emboss the closure strip with the crosshatch embossing folder from the Basic 3D Embossing Folders.
- Score this strip at 1 1/2″ and glue this strip to the inside of the card as shown above.
- Glue the inside Petal Pink panel to the inside of the card, covering the strip.
- Stamp the inside sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set on the white panel.
- Add a strip of DSP, Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam card stock to the bottom of the sentiment panel.

- Cut and layer three wreaths from the Cottage Wreath dies: I used Pear Pizzazz (retired), Old Olive and Soft Sea Foam card stock.
- Add Loose Daisy Embellishments to the wreath.
- Stamp the birthday sentiment and cut with a circle die or punch
- Glue the sentiment circle to the back of the wreath.
- Glue wreath to the closure strip.
- Lastly, add a few pearls to the top right of the card.
Even though this is a simple fun fold, I think any recipient would appreciate the creativity.
Thanks for hanging out with me for my first “theme” week. I’m looking forward to sharing more next week.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Rosanne

Rosanne, I love this pretty card with a fun surprise for the recipient. Enjoy your day!
Pretty and fresh! I’ve always enjoyed this fold, but haven’t made it in a long time. And I love your commitment to make a new fun fold every week! That would be a huge challenge for me. Can’t wait to see more!
