Monday Blues: Cheerful Daisies Made My Day

Stampin' Up! Cheerful Daisies Thank You Card-Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

The Monday Blues are back!  I mentioned in a post last week that the Fresh as a Daisy suite of products is a little more challenging for me than I anticipated.  So I’m really trying to embrace it and come up with some interesting projects. Here’s what I came up with for today…a Thank You card.

Here’s the Details

Measure & Cut

  • Basic White Thick card base:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • Boho Blue card stock:  5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and 5 1/4″ x 4 (inside)
  • Fresh as a Daisy DSP: cut with the largest Scalloped Contours die
  • Basic White card stock: 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside)

Assemble

  • Glue the Boho Blue panel to the card base.
  • Using dimensionals, adhere the DSP to the card base.
  • I added some glitter glue to the petals of the DSP for a little more sparkle.
  • Create the banner by cutting two of the label dies in the Cheerful Daisies dies.  Trim the top from one of them and layer the second one over it to create a label as long as desired.
  • Glue the banner to the top right side of the card front.
  • Stamp a small daisy on Boho Blue card stock with Versa Mark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
  • Stamp the sentiment and cut the individual words.  Adhere them to the banner with mini dimensionals.
  • Add a small bow to the top of the banner.

  • I embellished the inside with a strip of DSP from the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.
  • The scalloped border is cut from the same Scalloped Contour die used on the card front.  I just cut one of the longer borders and trimmed to fit.
  • I did the same with the envelope front.  I think it ties in so nicely.
