Lovely Amaryllis Thank You – TTTC#027

It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday!  Here’s this week’s fun new challenge…

I chose the third column diagonal:  vellum, patterned paper, heat embossed

Amaryllis Christmas Cards - Rosanne Mulhern

I created this thank you for a very special stamping friend.  Since she is also a Stampin’ Up! demo, I wanted to send her something she may not have already seen.

Here’s the details

  • The A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) card base is Blushing Bride card stock.
  • The next over-lay is a retired SU vellum pattern.
  • The center panel is a frame of Blushing Bride, Gold Foil and Whisper White and is adhered to the vellum layer.
  • I love flowers.  However, since there are very few that can be grown during the winter months in PA, I love to cultivate Amaryllis and Paper Whites during the holidays.  So naturally, I loved this stamp set from Wplus9.  They always remind me of my Dad, who grew these each year from the same bulbs and they just got lovelier each year.  I’m not always as successful as my Dad was but I never stop trying.
  • I stamped the flower in Momento ink and colored just the bulb, leaves and stems with Stampin’ Blends.  The flower is stamped again on a piece of scrap Whisper White.  I colored the flower and hand cut it to layer over the stamped image with Stampin Dimensionals to create a pretty 3D effect.
  • The bloom is also coated with Clear Wink of Stella for a pretty shimmer.
  • The sentiment, from One Big Meaning stamp set,  is stamped in Versa Mark on vellum and embossed in gold embossing powder.

  • The inside is stamped with another sentiment from One Big Meaning stamp set and with another colored image from the Amaryllis stamp set.
  • A simple trim of card stock and gold foil paper adds a little touch of elegance.

  • Digging into more retired product, I found this Blushing Bride Designer Series Paper that I thought would work well as an envelope liner using the also retired Envelope Liner Framelits.  Some products just have to stay with me and these framelits are definitely one of them!

Even though I took a stroll off the SU path, I hope you enjoyed this card!  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you’ll check out the Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week and perhaps even join us!

A Pretty Present Trio

Quilted Christmas Christmas Cards - Rosanne Mulhern

Today’s card is a combination of Designer Series Paper Collections and a few different framelits.

Here’s the measurements

  • Whisper White thick card stock: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
  • Garden Green DSP: 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
  • Cherry Cobbler card stock:  3 7/8 x 5 1/8
  • Whisper White card stock:  3 3/4 x 5

Here’s the details

  • The two Designer Series Paper collections that I used are Be Merry and Quilted Christmas DSP.
  • The Garden Green DSP panel is adhered directly to the card base and the Whisper White panel is adhered directly to the Cherry Cobbler card base.  But don’t glue the Cherry Cobbler panel to the DSP just yet.
  • To create the presents, I cut a card stock base from the Layering Squares framelits using two different sizes of the scalloped squares framelits.  They’re then layered with a straight square framelit in the DSP patterns.
  • Using another scalloped square framelit, I cut a ribbon for each box.
  • The bow was created using the flower framelit from the Quilt Builder Framelits.  I think this card is a good example of just how versatile framelits can be.
  • The gifts are layered and popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • After positioning the presents, I wrapped a piece of Garden Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the Cherry Cobbler panel and added some Stampin’ Dimensionals before adhering it to the Garden Green DSP panel.
  • The sentiment, which is from Santa’s Sleigh stamp set, was the inspiration for this card and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • It’s layered on two framelits from the Layering Ovals Framelits and popped with dimensionals.

  • The project is “wrapped” up with a piece of Designer Series Paper on the envelope flap.

Just a change of card stock color and DSP patterns and this would make a perfect birthday card, too!

The Stamparatus can be ordered again, starting today!

The second (and last) reservation window will remain open from December 5–30

PLEASE NOTE that during this reservation period Stampin’ Up! will take as many orders as they receive and not close the window until December 30. So whether the total number of reservations is 100 or 100,000, the window will stay open!

Here are the changes to the ordering process:

  • Beginning March 19, Stampin’ Up! will ship Stamparatuses in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in the warehouse. Because shipment dates are based on manufacturing lead times, not all of the reservations made during the December 5–30 window will ship on March 19 (as was previously announced).
  • In order to accommodate demand, limits have changed as follows: one reservation per customer and one per demonstrator.
  • Because they are not limiting the maximum number of reservations for the second window, they will not offer a third window. This is the last chance for you to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog.

Here’s what hasn’t changed:

  • If you reserved more than one stamping tool during the first reservation period, that number will not change; you will still receive the same number you reserved.
  • If you reserved one or more stamping tool(s) during the first reservation period, you may still order during the second window.
  • The final reservation window will open at 2:00 P.M. MT ( 4:00 P.M. ET) on December 5.
Please note other important information:
  • For easy ordering, you can visit my online shop HERE
  • Create an account with me.
  • There will be a link right on the home page to click to RESERVE your Stamparatus.  *Your credit card will not be charged until your order ships.
  • When your Stamparatus is ready to ship you will get an email notifying you that it is in your cart.  You will be able to add to that order.  If your order will ship before March 31, you will qualify for one free Sale-a-bration item with just a small additional purchase.

Here’s a terrific video highlighting this amazing tool…

I missed out on the first round of ordering and was so disappointed when the ordering window closed so quickly.  This is a great solution and a very fair way for everyone to get their hands on this fantastic tool.  I cannot wait to order mine today!

Thanks very much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Take care,

Rosanne

  • Isn’t that little deer just darling!?  He was so easily colored using the new Stampin’ Blends.  If you haven’t used these yet, you have to know how smooth and even they color with very little coloring experience.  I listed the colors I used in the Product List below.
  • After stamping the image in Momento Black Ink and coloring with the Stampin’ Blends, I used the Seasonal Tags framelits to cut it out.  Since I just wanted to use the front image, I needed to snip the top.
  • The little deer is layered on an Old Olive Stitched Circle and a Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Circle from the Layering Circles framelits.  He’s popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The circles are also popped with Dimensionals onto a Delicate White Doilie which is glued directly to the card.
  • The sentiment is from Santa’s Sleigh stamp set and is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.  I flagged the ends using a retired square punch.

  • The inside sentiment comes from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set in the Holiday Catalog.
  • The inside and the envelope are embellished with a little DSP and card stock.
  •  Creating a custom sized envelope is so easy using the Envelope Punch Board.

A Merry Christmas Quilt

Stampin Up Christmas Quilt Christmas Card Idea - Rosanne Mulhern

If you asked me what my favorite set in the Holiday Catalog is it would be hands down the Christmas Quilt suite of products.  The stamp set, framelits, embossing folder and Designer Series Paper combine to make so many wonderful cards both for Christmas and many other occasions.  I plan on continuing to create with this bundle even if it doesn’t carry over in the new catalog.

Here’s the card details

  • The A2 card base (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) is Real Red card stock.
  • A Whisper White layer is cut 1/4″ smaller and cropped with the star from the Quilt Builder framelits.
  • Using the flower framelit, I created the center flower and added a White Perfect Accent.  I used this framelit to create a totally different  flower HERE.
  • The sentiment, from the Christmas Quilt stamp set, is stamped in Garden Green ink.
  • I framed the sentiment with Real Red 1/8″ solid ribbon wrapped around the Whisper White panel.
  • Before adhering this panel to the card base, I back it with a pattern from Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper.  Then this panel is popped on the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • Another pattern from Quilted Christmas DSP backs the sentiment panel on the inside.
  • The sentiment is from a non-SU set and is stamped in Real Red ink.

  • Using the same pattern of DSP as the inside, I lined the envelope with the retired Envelope Liners framelits.

I can certainly see this as a Birthday, Get Well, Thinking of You or Just Because card just by changing the Designer Series Paper, card stock colors and sentiment.

Thanks for checking in today and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Take care,

Rosanne
