What’s a Stamparatus?

I’m sure most of you have already heard that Stampin’ Up! is introducing their version of the super popular Stamp Poisitioners (like the Misti, Tim Holtz version, etc.).  I for one have had a Misti for a long time and do use it fairly often so I was a little skeptical that it could be improved upon.  Well, I was so WRONG!  Stampin’ Up! totally took this tool to a whole new level of versatility with the Stamparatus.  Here is all you need to know about this amazing tool and how to reserve yours beginning November 16th.

Let it Snow with Swirly Snowflakes

Stampin Up Swirly Snowflakes and Merry Little Labels Christmas Card - Rosanne Mulhern

For today’s card, I paired the Snowflake Sentiments Bundle with the Merry Little Labels Bundle to create a pretty winter card.

Here’s the details

  • The A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) card base is Whisper White thick card stock.  Thick card stock is my go-to for all my Whisper White and Very Vanilla card bases.  It really creates a sturdy base that gives the card such a quality feel.
  • The next layer is Crumb Cake card stock cut 1/8″ smaller.

  • I cut the beautifully intricate snowflake twice and centered them on the card.
  • Adding a small Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of each snowflake is a subtle yet oh so pretty touch.
  • The Whisper White center strip measures 3/4″ x 5 3/8″.
  • 3/8″ Crumb Cake Classic Weave ribbon added a little bit of texture.  You could also just use a thin strip of Crumb Cake card stock.

  • Stamping on Crumb Cake card stock with Versa Mark, I heat embossed the sentiment using an image from the Merry Little Labels stamp set with white embossing powder.

  • Cutting this out was a breeze using the coordinating Everyday Label Punch.  I popped it with Stampin’ Dimensionals for some added umphh!

  • I used a non-SU stamp for the sentiment because it just seemed so fitting for this card.
  • The side border on both the inside of the card and the front of the Crumb Cake (retired) envelope was stamped with an image from Snowflake Sentiments in Crumb Cake ink.

A Little Christmas Cheer with Merry Cafe

Stampin Up Merry Cafe Christmas Card - Rosanne Mulhern

Like most everyone, I have my likes and dislikes regarding the sets in both the Annual and the Holiday Catalogs.  The Coffee Cafe stamp set really didn’t excite me but when the Merry Cafe stamp set came out in the Holiday Catalog, I was completely taken.  I’m not a coffee drinker at all..tea for me!  But I loved the Merry Cafe seasonal images and sentiments.  So naturally, I needed to purchase the Coffee Cups Framelits, too.

  • A Garden Green mat measuring 1/8″ smaller is embossed using the Quilt Top Embossing Folder and glued to the card base.
  • I used the retired Banners Framelits to create the banner.
  • Before adhering the banner to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I wrapped some Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine (also retired) and tied a bow.

  • The cup is stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla card stock and cut using a framelit from the Coffee Cups Framelits.
  • Using some of the cute little images from the Merry Cafe stamp set, I decorated the cup.
  • The sentiment is stamped on Crumb Cake card stock in Cherry Cobbler ink and also cut with a Coffee Cup Framelit.
  • Before I adhered the cup to the banner with Dimensionals, I added a pretty little doilie from my stash.  I think this is such a pretty touch!

A Cheery Cherry Snowflake Sentiment

Stampin Up Snowflake Sentiments Christmas Card - Rosanne Mulhern

I’m just getting started with creating Christmas cards and the Snowflake Sentiment Bundle is already one my favorites!  The Snowflake Sentiments stamp set has a wonderful set of sentiments for both the outside and inside of cards.  Couple that with the coordinating Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits and this is a bundle that will really push your creative buttons.

I love the intricacy of the snowflakes as well as the border dies in this set.

Here’s the details

  • The A2 card base is Whisper White thick card stock.
  • A pattern from the Be Merry Designer Series Paper collection is the background.
  • Using a variety of the thinlits from Swirly Snowflake Thinlit dies, I created the pretty scalloped border and the straight border along the bottom. The Precision Base Plate really helped cut these out with ease.

  • The Cherry Cobbler snowflakes are also cut from the thinlits.  I layered the large and the small and added a pearl accent to each.
  • The sentiment was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and cut using the Brother Scan n’ Cut for both the stamped image and the background. And it’s popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin Up Snowflake Sentiments Christmas Cards - Rosanne Mulhern

  • The inside is stamped with another sentiment and snowflake image from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • A little strip of DSP on the inside and the envelope front pull it all together.

Stampin Up Snowflake Sentiments Christmas Card - Rosanne Mulhern

I’ve already created another card using the Swirly Snowflake Thinlit dies and I know there will be more to come with both the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and dies.  I hope you’ll check back to see them.

Take care,

Rosanne
