Happy Monday…I hope you had a good weekend and your week is off to an equally good start. We do have the holiday weekend to look forward to after all.
I’m playing with the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge this week. Although, I found this combination a little difficult to figure out….
Today’s card features a stamp that will be hard to say good-bye to soon….Blended Bloom.
The flower is so large and beautiful and is also so versatile. Instead of coloring the bloom, I decided to heat emboss it in white embossing powder on Crushed Curry cardstock and fussy cut it out. The card base is Bermuda Bay with a mat of Pool Party which is embossed in a retired embossing folder. The sentiment is stamp in Crushed Curry embossing powder which is also retired, but I had it and figured why not use it! The sentiment is from the Cottage Greetings stamp set. I cut the sentiment using a die from the Treat Bag Framelits. Sometimes you don’t realize all versatility you can get from some of the Framelit sets and the Treat Bag has so many of them. Lastly, the Bermuda Bay ribbon is also a retired item.
The inside sentiment is from the Lovely Amazing You stamp set and is stamped in Bermuda Bay. I used a strip of DSP from the Cherry on Top 6 x 6 paper stack and a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock to embellish the inside a bit. The envelope flap is also embellished with DSP.
I was happy to spotlight this wonderful stamp before it heads into retirement…I think it will still be working (at least part-time) in my craft room, though!
Thanks very much for checking in on my project today. I am happy to answer any questions or comments you may have. Also, if you are not currently working with a demonstrator, I would be delighted to become yours….I am just an email away!
Until next time…take care,
Rosanne
