Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight Fun Fold Mini Slimline Birthday Card

Today I’m sharing a mini slimline that could be considered a fun fold, as well.  I’m going to apologize right here and now because I do not have any measurements.  I’ve never made this type of cascading card before and totally “winged” it.  This is not to say, it didn’t take me a few try’s!  I’m sure there are some tutorials available for a similar card if you’re interested in making one.

The card stock is Basic White and Lemon Lime Twist and the DSP is Glorious Gingham.  The flowers are created with a die from the Dainty Delight dies.  I layered two together and then used and blending brush and ink to color them.  The flower centers are embellishments from my stash.  The sentiment label is a die from the Scalloped Contours dies and the sentiments is from the Pansy Patch stamp set.

I created a custom slimline envelope to fit the card and used another die from the Scalloped Contours to add the scalloped edge. You can find my slimline envelope tutorial HERE.

3D By the Sea Beach Bags – #TTTC219

Today’s project was inspired by our recent vacation at the beach, as well as, my friend, Jeanie’s fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge board HERE

I chose to use the third row across: Patterned Paper, Summer, Anything but a Card.  I could also go along the left diagonal: Layers, Die Cut, Anything but a Card.

Graphic 45 By The Sea Beach Bags Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I created these beach bag treat holders using a die I purchased years ago at a Stamp Show…if you’ve been stamping for a while, you’ll remember that these shows would come around about once a year and feature many different stamp companies.  I loved going to them when they were in my area and purchased many products that are no longer available because a lot of the companies are no longer in business.  However, some of the products were very unique and fun, especially this “tote” bag die.

While going through my paper stash looking for beach or summer themed patterns, I came across the  Graphic 45 paper collection: By the Sea.  Graphic 45 is one of my favorite companies to purchase patterned paper from as their designs are so creative and unique.  I made the tassels using embroidery thread and added a charm to each.  When we were on vacation, I bought some salt water taffy that was just perfect to fill the bags with.

Here’s a close up of each bag…

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you’ll head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and see what my fellow teammates came up with.  Also, we would love it if you would share a project with us this week.

Take care,

Rosanne

Flamingo Floatie Summer Friendship Card

It’s Monday!  Are you ready to start another week?  Summer Monday’s just seem to have a different vibe. So I’m starting the week off with a cute and fun summer themed card…

Neat & Tangled Flamingo Floatie Friendship Card -Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

You may not recognize this cute little bathing beauty and her fun, flamingo float.  This is a stamp and die set from  Neat & Tangled stamp company which is no longer in business.  I have quite a few of N & T’s stamps and dies and still enjoy using them.  My stamping friends and I used to enjoy attending in-person classes with Danielle, N & T’s owner.  They were fairly close to all of us who lived in MD, DE and PA. So it was always a treat to get together to learn a new technique, stamp and shop.  And of course grab a bite to eat!

I colored everything with Stampin’ Blends & Copic markers except for her bathing suite and the flamingo.  For these, I paper pieced using some retired SU DSP.  Both just needed some cute patterns.

The sentiment on the front is also from the same stamp set.  However, the inside sentiment and float is from Sunny Studio: Beach Buddies stamp & die set.  I used SU’s Stitched with Whimsy dies to create the wonky borders.

I’m a just a player this week at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I chose to go with the first column down: Friendship, Any Color, Any Die Shape.  But I could also go with the second row across: Any Color, Free, Sentiment.

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.

Take care,

More Special “Scrappy” Cards

On Wednesday, I posted a card using only scraps that I’ve saved.  I had a lot of fun with this exercise, so I continued to make them.  They were a bit addictive.  Today’s cards are the same layout using different Designer Series papers.  The DSP I used on these cards are recently retired papers…and who doesn’t have a lot of those!

Here’s the first one, using the Regency Park DSP collection.  This paper was one of my very favorites and was not around long enough for me.

For the next card, I used the Butterfly Kisses DSP, which was another favorite.

Here are the cutting dimensions…

  • The card base:  11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Basic White card stock: 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • To make it a little easier to follow, I’ve labeled each DSP section with its measurement.  Hope this helps!

If you have a collection of scraps, this is a good layout to try.  I really enjoyed mixing the different patterns in each of the DSP collections.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Take care,

Rosanne
