At the Beach – Paper Players #647

At the Beach card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Happy mid-week!  I hope you had a fun and festive 4th of July.  It always seems to me that the 4th is the mid-point of summer and it’s downhill from here.  Even the stores are putting Back to School supplies out, so it must be true..lol!  However, let my card today remind us that we still have a lot of beach time left to summer.

I’m playing along with the Paper Players Theme Challenge #647 HERE

At the beginning of each season, I pull out all of that season’s stamps and dies.  This way I can be reminded to use them.  Which is exactly what I did to create today’s card as I used several different sets to create this card.  I started by ink blending a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of white card stock to create a sky and sun background.  Then using Hello Bluebird’s Ocean Scene Builder dies, I cut the sand and the waves.  After ink blending the sand, I sprinkled it with a little glitter.  Then I cut three of the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Frames from My Favorite Things and glued them to the “beach”  before gluing to the Coastal Cabana card base.  Next came the really fun part…creating the “scene”.  I stamped and colored images from Sunny Studio’s Beach Buddies and Hello Bluebird’s Seaside Girls stamps and cut them with the coordinating dies.  The sentiment is from SS’s Beach Buddies stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Take care,

Rosanne

Fresh & Pretty Cottage Wreath Encouragement Card – #TTTC215

It’s time for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  My fellow Team O teammates have some wonderful projects based on Karren’s board.  You can see them all HERE

…and here’s my card…

Stampin Up Cottage Wreath Hello Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I chose the 3rd row across: Circles, Heat Embossing, Free AND the right diagonal: Die Cuts, Encouragement, Circles

I’m totally embracing a summer vibe and highlighting my favorite summer color scheme of black and white gingham and red along with a wreath and sunflowers with today’s card.  I incorporated a few Stampin’ Up! products.  The wreath is from the Cottage Wreath dies, the sunflowers were created using the Dainty Delight dies and the pretty red scalloped border is from the Darling Details dies.  The sentiment for the front and inside of the card is from the Darling Details stamp set.

Stars and Stripes Forever – PP646

With June winding down and July quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to create a patriotic card in honor of the 4th of July.  I don’t necessarily send cards for the 4th, so this one will just be displayed amongst my patriotic decor.  Perhaps I’ll put it in a simple frame to use year after year.

I used paper that I had in my stash for the distressed wood background and the star strips.  The banner is created using SU’s Banner Pick a Punch in Boho Blue and Night of Navy card stock.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Land That I Love stamp set and coordinating dies.  I stamped it in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it using some long retired Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  The copper stars are also retired SU.

I’m playing along with the Paper Players sketch challenge this week HERE.

Thanks for stopping in today…I hope you’re looking forward to a fun “fourth”!

Take care,

Rosanne
