Leaf Burst Stenciled Birthday – PP645

It’s been a while since I played in a few of my favorite challenges.  Today, I’m playing along with the Paper Players challenge which is always fun and challenging. Here’s the challenge board…

One layer cards are definitely something I don’t usually make and find kind of difficult which is probably why you don’t see many coming from me.  But here we go….

Stenciled One Layer Birthday Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I started off with Shimmery White card stock as the card base.  I used the Leaf Burst stencil from Altenew and Pawsitively Saturated inks from Simon Says Stamps: Limelicious, Ocean and Amethyst.   The sentiment is from The Greetery: All Kinds of Happy and is stamped in Versa Fine Clair Nocturne.  The envelope is also stenciled to coordinate with the card.  The Shimmery card stock gives the card some subtle sparkle.  But I was so tempted to add some sequins but really wanted to be true to the challenge.

Now that I saw how quickly this card came together, I’m going to try more one layer cards.  It’s all about trying new things and growing creatively.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Take care,

Rosanne

Embroidery Birthday Card for CC2C

It’s time for another cross country stamping adventure.  Karen Hallam in CA and myself here in PA are enjoying collaborating once a month by CASEing (Copying and Selectively Editing) each other projects.  This month, Karen chose our direction and we’ll be working with this sketch…

And here is Karen’s take on the sketch…

For all the details on Karen’s creative card, please head over to here blog HERE

For my interpretation of the sketch, I decided to incorporate my two favorite hobbies:  stamping and cross-stitch by creating this birthday card for a fellow cross-stitcher friend…

While browsing stamping products online, I came across a paper collection with beautiful floral prints as well as these fantastic cross-stitch or embroidery motifs.  It’s called Embroidery by Paper Rose and I just love it.  I’m also embellishing my cross-stitching journal, which I keep with details of all my stitching projects, with these images.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card…

The sentiment is from the retired Stampin’ Up! set, Best Year.  I cut a few more images from the patterned paper for a little embellishment.

Thanks for joining Karen and I on our monthly creative cross country adventure.

Take care,

Rosanne

Bible Study Bookmarks – #TTTC213

It’s Tic Tac Toe Thursday…

I chose the middle row across: Bible Verse, Stripes, Ribbon

As soon as I saw this board, created by Silke, I knew what I was going to create.  I’ve been in an online Bible Study group for quite sometime and I’m always finding the need for bookmarks for the various study books we use.  And I have quite a few stamp sets that have Bible verses but just never got around to putting them to good use…until now.  To create the actual bookmark, I used a retired tag punch from Stampin’ Up! and some retired SU Designer Series Paper.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you’ll head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and be inspired to play along with us.

Take care,

Rosanne

Two-Tone Florals for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is the New 2023-2025 In Colors. We hope you will be inspired by all the creations the Pals share with you! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Stampin Up Two-Tone Floral Card Idea - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt StampingFor today’s cards, I immediately knew the In-Colors I would be highlighting.  While I’m still warming up to Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, and Pebbled Path, Boho Blue and Moody Mauve are stand-out colors for me.  I created both cards using the Two-Tone Florals bundle along with the Scalloped Contours dies and Countryside Blossoms embossing folder.

Stampin Up Two-Tone Floral Card Idea -Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt StampingThe sentiment is from the Country Bouquet stamp set.  I hand cut one and cut the other using a die from the Stylish Shapes dies.  I really like the versatility of this sentiment.

The envelopes are embellished using a scrap from the embossed panels.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on July 12th, when our theme will be CASE the Catalog, when the design team chooses a card from the new Annual Catalog and recreates it with their own creative twist.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.
