Monday Blues: Dainty Details Encouragement Card

Stampin' Up! Dainty Details Dies Encouragement Card Idea - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Good Monday to you…hope you’re looking forward to a nice week ahead and the upcoming holiday weekend.  How did Memorial Day come so quickly!?  For today’s Monday Blues, I created a cheerful encouragement card that would be wonderful to send just to give someone a special lift whether it was needed or not.

Measure & Cut

  • Blueberry Bushel card base:  cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White card stock: cut at 5 1/4″ x 2 & 5 1/4″ x 1 1/4″
  • Glorious Gingham DSP: cut at 5 1/8″ x 1 7/8″ & 5 1/8″ x 1 1/8″

Assemble

  • On each of the Basic White panels, die cut the flowers using the small daisy die from the Dainty Delights dies.
  • Glue the DSP to the back of each of the die cut panels.  Then glue to the card front leaving and equal border around the top, sides and bottom.  (refer to the photo)
  • I added some embellishments from my stash to the center of each flower.  You could also use a small hole punch to create a center from card stock.
  • The sentiment is from the Wonderful Thoughts bundle.  After cutting the sentiment with the coordinating die, I cut an additional two strips and layered on the sentiment to give dimension.

This card came together surprisingly fast.  I’m thinking of creating a set of notecards using this design.  I’ll be sure to post them.

Thanks for stopping by today…your time here is always appreciated!  Have a wonderful day!

Take care,

Rosanne

Patriotic Cracker Boxes for #TTTC209

I’m sharing a 3D project today for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #tttc209.  It’s been a while since I created a 3D project, so I was happy to use the “Anything but a Card” element on the board.  In honor of the upcoming Memorial Day holiday and unofficial start of summer, here’s what I came up with…

Stampin' Up! Patriotic Cracker Boxes - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Take a look at the challenge board, created by my friend, Jeanie, HERE.  I chose the center column down: Patterned Paper, Free, Anything but a Card. I could also use the right to left diagonal: Any Shape, Free, Blue.

I created the crackers using Stampin’ Up!’s Cracker and Treat Box Dies and some current and retired Designer Series Paper in patriotic colors.  The stars were also cut from a die included in the same die set.  I used some retired Baker’s Twine to secure the ends.

To create the box, which holds 4 crackers, cut a piece of card stock at 4 7/8″ x 7″ and score at 3/4″ on all four sides.  Cut and notch the corners and secure with glue or Tear & Tape.  I used Boho Blue card stock.

I used the Countryside Corners Bundle to stamp and cut the label and secured it around the box with Night of Navy Bordered ribbon.  The sentiment is from the Country Bouquet stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today and please hop over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge to check out the other Designer’s projects…and maybe take a turn at the board yourself.  We would love to see what elements inspired you.

Take care,

Rosanne

Two for Tuesday: Countryside Blossoms Sympathy

Stampin' Up! Countryside Blossoms Embossed Sympathy Card- Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Today’s Two for Tuesday cards feature the new Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder in the Annual Catalog.  I embossed one Basic White card stock panel with this embossing folder to create two clean and simple sympathy cards.

I’ve created some visual measurements for these cards:

Assemble

  • Glue the Gold Foil panel to the card base.
  • Glue the smaller white panel to the left side of the card, leaving a 1/8″ border.
  • Glue the embossed panel to the right side of the card, leaving a 1/8″ border.
  • Stamp and heat emboss the sentiment with gold embossing powder.  The sentiment I used is from the retired stamp set: Lasting Lily
  • Use oval punches or dies to cut the sentiment label.
  • Adhere the sentiment with dimensionals.
  • The leaves were cut from the Dainty Delight dies and tucked behind the sentiment.

  • The envelope flaps are also embossed with the Countryside Blossoms embossing folder.

Monday Blues: Get Well Wishes

Stampin' Up! Cheerful Daisies Get Well Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Hello!  The only thing blue about this Monday is my card!  The weather is gorgeous coming off of a simply wonderful Mother’s Day.  Here’s another card featuring the Cheerful Daisies Bundle. I’ve been creating a lot with this bundle for two reasons:  (1) I wasn’t exactly thrilled with it when I first starting creating with it and wanted to give it a fair chance to grow on me…and it worked because it has!  It’s perfect for so many occasions.  And (2) I’m still waiting on my order from the new catalog with some new products.  They are due to arrive later this week and I’m excited to have some “new” to create with.

I’ve had a few friends undergo some serious surgeries this past month and one is still in the hospital, so I hope this card will cheer her up.

Measure & Cut

  • Balmy Blue card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White card stock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside)
  • Country Gingham (ret) DSP: 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Lemon Lolly card stock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)

Assemble

  • Glue the White and Gingham DSP panels to the card front.
  • To create the scalloped frame, use the second and third largest Scalloped dies.  Place the third die evenly in the center of the second die and cut both.
  • Again, using the second largest scalloped die, cut a piece of Balmy Blue card stock.
  • Emboss using the cross-hatch embossing folder from the Basic 3D Embossing Folders available in the Online Exclusives HERE.
  • Wrap a piece of ribbon around the embossed panel.  I used a retired Balmy Blue Sheer ribbon.
  • Glue the frame to the embossed piece.
  • Next, cut an additional two of the same dies from Basic White thick card stock and glue behind the blue scallop.  This will give it some solid dimension when glued to the card front.
  • Stamp and cut the daisies, leaves, and fronds.  I stamped the flowers in Crushed Curry and colored lightly with a Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend.  I also added some glitter glue for some pretty sparkle.
  • Assemble foliage on the card front using a combination of liquid glue and dimensionals.
  • Stamp the sentiment and adhere to the card front.  My sentiment is from the long retired Tiny Wishes stamp set.

    • The inside sentiment is from another retired set, Happy Thoughts.

I think the Cheerful Daisies Bundle is so aptly named.  Here’s to hoping they’ll cheer my friend up, as well!

Thanks for spending some time with me this Monday.  I’ll be back tomorrow with my Two for Tuesday…hope to see you then!

Take care,

Rosanne
