Fold it Friday: Alphabet A La Mode Mother’s Day Card

I’m squeezing in another Mother’s Day card before the big day on Sunday.  Today’s Fold it Friday’s fun fold features the Alphabet A La Mode dies and the retired Regency Park Designer Series Paper.

Details…

Measure & Cut

  • Night of Navy card base:  8 1/4″ x 4 1/4″, score at 2 3/4″
  • Petal Pink card stock: 2 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ (front) and 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ (inside)
  • Striped DSP:  2 1/2″ x 4″
  • Lattice DSP:  5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Floral DSP:  3 1/2″ x 2 1/4″
  • Basic White card stock:  3 1/2 x 2 1/4″

Assemble

  • Glue the Petal Pink card stock and DSP to the front panel and inside panel.
  • Using the third largest die from the Scalloped Contours dies, cut two from Night of Navy card stock.
  • Glue one of these to the front panel.
  • Glue the floral DSP to the scalloped die.
  • Cut the next smallest Scalloped Contour die in Petal Pink card stock and pop it up with dimensionals.
  • Cut the letters from the Alphabet A La Mode die in both Night of Navy card stock and the floral DSP.  Layer and glue to the Petal Pink Scalloped panel.  I offset the layering to show the Night of Navy layer.

  • Cut another Scalloped panel from Night of Navy and position and glue it on the inside so it matches up with the front panel.
  • Stamp the inside sentiment onto the Basic White panel.  Add a strip of floral DSP and Petal Pink card stock. I used two retired sentiments from:  Peaceful Moments and Timeless Tulips stamp sets.
  • Glue to the Scalloped panel.
  • Add a few embellishments.  I used the Adhesive Backed Milky Dots.

Tic Tac Toe Thursday: Biggest Wishes Masculine Birthday

If it’s Thursday, it’s time for a new Tic Tac Toe Challenge. Team X came up with very creative projects this week.  Be sure to check them out and join in on the fun.  Here’s this week’s board…

I chose the diagonal: Masculine, Free, Square

  • Basic White Thick card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/2″
  • Lost Lagoon card stock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
  • Hello, Irresistible DSP: 5 1/4″ x 4″
  • Pretty Peacock card stock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
  • Basic White card stock: 5″ x 3 3/4″

Assemble

  • Glue the Lost Lagoon panel and DSP panel to the card base.

  • Layer the squares in an argyle style using dimensionals.
  • Stamp the words from the Biggest Wishes stamp set and cut.  I used a Scan n’ Cut to cut these and the mat behind them.  But they could easily be hand cut, too.
  • Glue the sentiment to the front of the squares.

  • The inside sentiment is from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set and is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink.

Creating a masculine card is always a bit of a challenge for me.  I think this would work but would also be a nice generic birthday.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and I hope you’ll head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and play along.

Take care,

Rosanne

Cheerful Daisies Mother’s Day Fancy Fold & Gift Bag – Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, we have a Tic Tac Toe theme. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we love reading your comments. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Here’s our Tic Tac Toe board…

I decided to go with the 1st row across: Fancy Fold, Dies or Punches, Mother’s Day

Stampin' Up! Cheerful Daisies Fun Fold Card & Gift Bag Idea- Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt StampingI created a (not that) Fancy Fold card along with a gift bag using the Fresh as a Daisy DSP and Cheerful Daisies bundle.

  • To create the “dutch door”, place card base in trimmer on the 4 1/4″ side.  Then trim it at 1 3/4″ down to the score line.
  • Turn the card and trim off the top part of the card on the score line.  The door should measure 5 1/2″ x 1 3/4″.
  • Emboss the smaller piece of Boho Blue card stock using the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder and glue to the front of the “door”.
  • Stamp and heat emboss two small daises on Boho Blue card stock with white embossing powder.
  • Stamp the flower centers with Copper Clay ink.
  • Cut the flowers with the coordinating dies and glue to the door.
  • Stamp the sentiment, from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set.  Die cut with the coordinating dies.  I cut two additional dies and layered the sentiment for more dimension.

Stampin' Up! Cheerful Daisies Fun Fold Card & Gift Bag-Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

  • Layer the Boho Blue panel to the inside of the card base.
  • Add the DSP panel to the top leaving a 1/8″ border.
  • Glue the Boho Blue strip to the bottom of the card, also leaving a 1/8″ border.
  • Stamp the inside sentiment on the Basic White panel and glue as shown.

Since I’ll be giving this to my daughter, Emily for Mother’s Day, I added a matching gift bag using a (retired) Peekaboo Treat Bag.  I tucked a gift card behind the chocolate.

Thanks for stopping by today!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on June 14th, when our theme will be showcasing the New 2023-2025 In Colors.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Two for Tuesday: Two-Tone Flora Card & Tag

Stampin' Up! Two-Tone Flora Card and Tag - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

For today’s Two for Tuesday, I created a pretty many occasion card and matching tag.  Often times when I give a gift, it’s in a gift bag.  Even though my gift is always accompanied by a handmade card, I think a tag attached to the bag would be nice.  And making the card and tag coordinate is even better!

Stampin' Up! Two-Tone Flora Card and Tag -Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I think this will make a pretty presentation the next time I’m giving a gift.  I’ll definitely be making a few more card/tag sets soon.
