Feminine Floral Valentine for CC2C

Welcome to our first CASEing Coast to Coast for 2022.  Karen Hallam in CA and myself here in PA have been enjoying this monthly creative adventure for several years now.  Each month we take turns choosing the idea to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit).  I’m starting the year off with a Valentine themed card…

Feminine Floral Valentine - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Having three grown daughters, I certainly need a few pretty feminine Valentine’s card.  So only two more to go!

I’ve recently discovered that my new favorite way to create is to reach into my stash of all different products and combine them to come up with a project that I’m happy with.  This one absolutely fits that bill!  The pretty floral paper from a 6 x 6 Echo Park paper pad.  The scalloped cover dies are from Gina Marie Designs and the sentiment is from SU’s Meant to Be stamp set.  I also used the coordinating Be Mine Stitched dies to create the heart shaped window.  The ribbons came from my stash and just so happened to match the Flirty Flamingo cardstock.

If you’re a Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin fan, you may recognize the inside sentiment.  It’s from the January 2021 kit, Sending Hearts.

I’m showing the envelope alone here because I like the envelope almost as much as the card!

If you haven’t already been out West to see Karen’s Valentine, you can find it HERE.  Once again, thanks for taking today’s cross country stamping trip with us.   I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as Karen and I enjoy doing it.

Take care,

Rosanne

Sending a Fuzzy Hug

I know I’m a few weeks late with New Year wishes but…Happy 2022!  I hope the New Year is treating you well so far.  We’ve had some small bumps in the road but nothing to get too worked up about.  If anything the recent two years have taught me, it’s just to roll with the punches and PRAY (a lot)!  Today, I’m sharing a sweet card of encouragement that I’ll be sending to someone very special.

Mama Elephant Fuzzy Hugs Winter Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfeltstamping

The adorable penguin couple are from the Mama Elephant stamp set, Fuzzy Hugs.  I’m having such a good time coloring all the sweet little critters in this set.  So you’ll be seeing a few more cards from this set, for sure.  The background was cut using the Memory Box Pinpoint Snowflake Plate Cover Die.  I recently purchased a few of their cover dies and really like each one.

My card actually qualified for three challenges this week…

I used the sketch for the Fusion Challenge

For the Tic Tac Toe Challenge, I was able to use several rows/columns:  (1) 1st column down:  Winter, Sentiment, Circle (2) 2nd row across: Sentiment, CAS, Animal (3) 3rd row across: Circle, Sparkle, Free and (4) diagonally down: Winter, CASE, Free.

The Paper Players Clean & Simple Challenge

I’ll be back on Wednesday with the first monthly CASEing Coast to Coast for 2022.  I hope you’ll stop by again.  I also hope you can get and give some warm & fuzzy hugs this week!

Take care,

Rosanne

December CC2C: Merriest Moments Gift Tags

Welcome to the last CASEing Coast to Coast for 2021.  For those who haven’t been here before, Karen Hallan in CA and myself here in PA alternate CASEing (Copy and Selectively Edit) each other projects or idea each month.  With the fast approaching holiday, Karen  chose Tags as our project.  Very smart and practical of her, wouldn’t you agree? Here’s Karen’s pretty trio of tags…

I love the beautiful variety of Karen’s tags.  Each one is so pretty and unique.

My tags feature Stampin’ Up!’s Merriest Moments stamp set and Merriest Frames coordinating dies.  The tag was created using SU’s Delightful Tag Topper punch.  To create a bit of variety, I stamped the poinsettia in each of the Stampin’ Up!’s four red inks:  Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Merry Merlot and Poppy Parade.  Being more of a traditionalist, I like the Real Red and Cherry Cobbler the best.

I’m gifting quite a few books this Christmas. So besides using these as a gift tag, they can also function as a bookmark.

If haven’t already been, please head out West to get all the details on Karen’s delightful tags HERE.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today.  Karen and I look forward to more Coast to Coast CASEing in 2022…hope to see you here too!

Take care,

Rosanne

November CC2C: Holiday Gift Card Holders

Welcome back to another monthly cross country CASEing adventure with Karen Hallam in CA and myself here in PA.  Just in time for holiday gifting, this month our theme is gift card holders.  I really enjoy making these and have a good supply for several occasions on hand.  Gift cards are always a welcome present and a one of a kind, handmade gift card holder makes it all the more special.

Stampin Up Poinsettia Petals Christmas Gift Card Holder - Rosanne Mulhern

Today’s gift card holders feature one of my all-time favorite holiday bundles from Stampin’ Up!:  the Poinsettia Petals bundle.  I paired it with the retired Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper.

Of the two, this is my favorite.  I love these pretty, soft colors of Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam.  The poinsettia is cut in Shimmery White card stock and is sponged with Petal Pink ink for some subtle color.  The sentiment is heat embossed with silver embossing powder and hand cut.

Stampin Up Poinsettia Petals Christmas Gift Card Holder- Rosanne MulhernThe inside sentiment is also from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

While the pink card is my favorite, I’m still so pleased with this more traditional card. The Plush Poinsettia paper is backed with gold foil to highlight the pretty pattern.  The flower is cut from Red Velvet paper and the leaves are cut from Mossy Meadow card stock. The sentiment is heat embossed with gold embossing powder and hand cut.

I created matching envelopes for each.  However, since the flower makes them pretty bulky, I will not be mailing them.
