My Husband’s Valentine…finally!

After three attempts, I finally created my husband’s Valentine card.  I’m not sure why it took three tries and why I just wasn’t satisfied with the previous two but here’s the one he’ll open.  And honestly, he would have been perfectly happy with any of them.  One of the reasons may have been that I just received the Spellbinders January Clear Stamp & Die of the Month earlier this week.  I was anxious to get this set to create Valentine’s Day cards.

I’m getting this one in just under the wire at the Just Us Girls Wild Card Week #617

Also at Sunday Stamps SSC275

Thanks for checking in today.

Take care,

Rosanne

Clean & Simple Magnolia Birthday

Neat & Tangled Magnolia Birthday Card -Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Happy Wednesday!  It’s mid-week and I’m looking forward to the weekend already.  This time of year always seems to go by so slowly.  The winter doldrums have definitely settled in here.  The month of February seems a lot like a Wednesday…once you get over it, there’s something to look forward to. In the case of February, it’s Spring.

I hope today’s card will chase away some of the winter blahs.  While digging into some of my long neglected stamps, I found this oh so pretty set.  It’s Neat & Tangled’s Magnolia.  Unfortunately, Neat & Tangled is no longer in business.  I always loved Danielle’s stamps and dies.  I also miss attending her classes.  Since they were fairly local, my friends from MD, DE & PA always looked forward to getting together for them.  But fortunately, I still have many Neat & Tangled sets to create with.

Neat & Tangled Magnolia Birthday Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping I colored the flowers using Copic markers and cut them on my Scan n’ Cut.  I adhered them to a piece of pink vellum and hand cut around to create a pretty shadow.  I layered the embossed background which is  the Tufted Textured embossing folder from Stampin’ Up! on a card base of SU’s Fresh Freesia cardstock.  The sentiment is from SU’s Sweet as a Peach stamp set and is heat embossed.

I playing along with The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe Challenge: PP576.  I can go two ways: (1) CAS, flower, birthday OR (2) die cut, flower, birthday.

As always, thanks for stopping by today!

Take care,

Rosanne

Frilly Feminine Boxwood Mini Slimline Card

Mini Boxwood Hearts Birthday Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Today’s mini slimline card (6″ x 3 1/2″) features a favorite stamp and die set, The Greetery’s: Mini Boxwood Wreath.  I stamped the each wreath in SU Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz ink.  I stacked each stamped wreath with 2 more cut from thick white card stock for more dimension.  The sentiment, from Pink Fresh Studio: Perfect Sentiments is heat embossed in gold and cut with the coordinated dies.  The pretty floral paper is from the Craft Consortium’s Bloom & Wild paper pad.  I created my own envelope using this template.

I playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #tttc146. I chose the first column down: Pink, Valentine/Heart & White

I haven’t decided what occasion I’ll use this card for.  There’s a number of possibilities: birthday, anniversary, congratulations, wedding even Valentine’s Day.

I hope your week is off to a good start.  Thanks for stopping by!

Take care,

Rosanne

Let’s Get Lost in a Good Book!

Happy Sunday!  I hope you enjoyed a wonderful winter weekend.  We had the perfect snowstorm yesterday…just enough snow to look beautiful but not enough to hamper the roads.  I spent the day with my two grandsons, Jack and Luke.  It’s been a rough couple of weeks as my daughter, Emily (the boys’ mom) and Luke, 7 months old, had Covid.  Thankfully, they’re recovered now and we can spend time together again.  I’ve missed them!

In the meantime, I’ve done a good bit of the blog title. Reading is right up there with card making in my book (no pun intended)!

My Favorite Things Our Story Friendship Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I know I’ve mentioned that I have a little (but growing) collection of book related stamps.  And My Favorite Things: Our Story, is one of them.  This is actually the first time inking this adorable set, though it’s been in my collection for quite some time.  I colored the images with Copic markers.  The sentiment, from Mama Elephant’s: Good Reads stamp set, is heat embossed on vellum.

The inspiration for my card came from Freshly Made Sketch’s latest challenge.  I actually pondered this sketch most of the week before coming up with my design early this morning.  It was truly a challenge!

I do appreciate that you took some time from your day to look in on my project today…thank you!

Take care,

Rosanne
