Paper Pieced Pumpkin – #tttc132

Jaded Blossoms Fancy Pumpkin Dies- Rosanne Mulhern

I’m back today sharing another favorite technique…paper piecing.  I’m always on the look out for dies that would work well with this technique.  I’ve recently discovered a new to me stamp company…Jaded Blossoms.  The die is called Fancy Pumpkins and works perfectly for this technique.

I’m playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge here…

I chose to follow the 3rd row down:  Embossing, Patterned Paper, Fall/Halloween Theme

I used Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive card stock along with a plaid pattern from my stash to create the pumpkin.  The pumpkin is adhered to a panel that’s embossed with the SU Dainty Diamonds embossing folder.

The sentiment comes from the retired SU Country Home stamp set.  I stamped it and heat embossed.  I used the Brother Scan n Cut to cut the sentiment and the black mat out.

The inside sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Harvest Mouse stamp set.

I was having such a good time creating this card and couldn’t stop at just one.  Here’s another…

I think I like both cards equally well.  Leave a comment choosing the card you prefer and I’ll choose a random comment to send that card to.

Embossed Pretty Pumpkins

Stampin Up Pretty Pumpkins Thanksgiving Card Idea - Rosanne Mulhern

Today I’m sharing a card that includes one on of my favorite techniques: heat resist embossing.  I created this pretty pumpkin background by randomly stamping the pumpkin image from Stampin’ Up!’s Pretty Pumpkin stamp set with Versa Mark ink and heat embossing it with white embossing powder.  Then easily sponging Pumpkin Pie ink onto each pumpkin.  The stem was inked with Old Olive ink.

I matted the stamped panel on a piece of gold foil before mounting it on the card base.    The sentiment is embossed with gold embossing powder.  I added a pretty gold border to the bottom of the sentiment panel using a die from the Painted Labels dies.

The inside is simply stamped with a sentiment from the Pretty Pumpkins stamp set.

I created a coordinating envelope using the same heat resist embossing technique on the flap.

As always, thank you for stopping by today!

Take care,

You Autumn Know…Paper Players Challenge: PP559

Greetings!  Today I’m playing with some cute and fun new stamps from Lawn Fawn.  As soon as I saw this new release, I knew they would be coming my way!  I also knew they would be perfect to create a clean and simple Autumn card for this week’s  Paper Players challenge…

The stamp sets I used are You Autumn Know stamps and coordinating dies along with Scripty Autumn Sentiments. How adorable are these little mice floating by to celebrate Autumn.

Here’s a look inside…

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you’re looking forward to the first weekend of Fall.  Here in PA, the weather finally promises to cool down.

Take care,

It’s Sweater Weather Y’All – #TTTC131

Welcome! In anticipation of the Autumn Equinox tomorrow, I have a fun Fall scene card today.

MFT Sweater Weather Fall Card -Rosanne Mulhern

Once again, I’m having a lot of fun playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge…

I choose two options from this fun board…

  • 3rd column down:  brown/beige, wood, animal
  • 3rd row across:  foliage, plaid, animal

MFT Sweater Weather Fall Card- Rosanne Mulhern

This card was so much fun to create.  I really enjoyed building this fun, fall scene starting with Lawn Fawn’s Leafy Tree Backdrop die against a plaid pattern also from Lawn Fawn.  The Leafy Tree Backdrop is cut with Soft Suede card stock.  I covered the tree with a piece of woodgrain paper from my stash.

Now onto these adorable sweater clad critters.  These come from My Favorite Things’ Sweater Weather stamp set.  I colored them with a combination of Copic markers and SU Stampin’ Blends.  The leaves are stamped and cut with the SU (retired) Beautiful Autumn bundle.

Lastly, the sentiment is stamped using the Power Poppy Feeling Fall stamp set.  It’s so appropriate on the eve of the Autumn Equinox.

I’m so ready for Fall…how about Y’All?  Thanks very much for stopping in today and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Take care,

Rosanne
