I’m popping in today with a fun card for the Paper Players blog tic tac toe challenge. Here’s the challenge board…

I chose to follow the right side down: scene, sparkle, blue.

I created this cute little snow scene using My Favorite Things Snow Buddy stamp set and dies.
Although this is not a true shaker card as nothing is “shakable”. I created part of the scene behind a circle die cut panel with clear acetate. Before this panel is adhered with dimensionals, I glued the snowman directly to the snow patterned paper. I had a good time coloring and paper piecing (snowman hat and scarf, dog scarf). It may not be apparent in the photo, the snow drift was heat embossed with thick clear embossing powder which gave it a shiny texture. This is also adhered to the inside of the die cut circle. The puppy is tucked into the outside of the circle and the fence is glued to the outside front. I added some sparkle to the snow on the fence with glitter glue. Digging into my embellishment stash, I found these iridescent snowflake which I found at Target’s Dollar Spot and glued them around the outside of the card.

I added another sentiment and cute image from the Snow Buddy stamp set to the inside.
So here’s my inspiration for this fun card which I’m sending to my grandson Jack! We had a substantial (2 snow days) snowstorm here in PA earlier in the week and Jack had a great time playing in it.

Thanks very much for stopping by today…I hope you have a wonderful day!
Take care,
Rosanne

This Valentine card was created using the (retired) Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper. I love any kind of toile patterns and paired with the gingham produces such a classic look. The heart cluster die is the Clipping Heart die from Simon Says Stamps.
