CASEing Coast to Coast – Arrange a Wreath Christmas Wishes

Welcome back to another monthly installment of CASEing Coast to Coast with Karen Hallam and I.  Each month, Karen (from CA) and I (in PA) take a turn at CASEing (Copy and Selectively Edit) each other’s card. This month Karen created this stunning Thank You card…

I would be thankful to received such a pretty card!  You can read all the details on Karen’s blog HERE

And here’s the card I created…

Stampin Up Arrange a Wreath Christmas Card - Rosanne MulhernWhen Karen sent me the photo of her card, she mentioned that she hadn’t used the Forever Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper enough.  Well, neither have I!  So that’s where my CASE comes in.  This paper collection has to be one of my all-time favorites and I’ll definitely be putting it to much better use in the future.

I layered a Very Vanilla panel which was cut with a Stitched Rectangle die onto the Very Vanilla card base using a piece of fun foam.  The pretty gold panel is lightly glued to the stitched panel.

Stampin Up Arrange a Wreath Christmas Card- Rosanne MulhernThe wreath was created using dies from SU’s Wreath Builder dies and retired All Around Wreath dies.  The Cherry Cobbler poinsettias are cut with the Poinsettia dies.  The gold embossed banner is stamped from the Toile Christmas stamp set and cut using the Christmas Cardinals dies.

Stampin Up Arrange a Wreath Christmas Card -Rosanne MulhernThe inside sentiment is also from the Toile Christmas stamp set.  The evergreen sprig is from a random stamp in my stash. If I re-create this card, I’ll stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink.   I used Mossy Meadow here and I think it’s a little too light.

Stampin Up Arrange a Wreath Christmas Card - Rosanne MulhernWell that wraps up another cross country stamping adventure and the last one for 2020.  I hope you’ll head out west now to check out Karen’s card HERE. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your week is going well.

Take care,

Rosanne

Gnome GNOEL

My Favorite Things You Gnome Me Christmas Card Ideas - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I’m sharing a fun card created with a stamp set I’ve had for quite sometime but have never used…You Gnome Me from My Favorite Things stamp company.

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m really enjoying creating slimline cards.  There’s so much more room to embellish.  This card measures 8 3/4″ x 4″.  I purchased a few dies for slimline cards which I used to create the layers on the front.  The letters are the retired Large Letter dies from Stampin’ Up! and are embossed with a dotted embossing folder.  I layered four letters to give them some dimension.  The funny gnome gentlemen are colored and paper pieced.

The envelope was purchased at an office supply store.  It’s considered a resume envelope and has a really nice texture.

This card was a lot of fun to make.  I’ll be sending this to my middle daughter, Lauren.  She and I had a bit of an obsession a few years ago with garden gnomes and I know she’ll get a laugh from this.

I haven’t entered a challenge in a very long time.  So I’m hoping to get back into them and will be entering this one in the The Paper Players theme challenge this week.

Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card Idea - Rosanne Mulhern

Welcome to another CASEing (Copy and Selectively Edit) installment with Karen Hallam at Karen’s Stamping Habit.  This month I created a project and Karen will put her creative spin on it.  I’m so enthralled with the Poinsettia Petals bundle.  While I’m still creating projects with this bundle, I think this more traditional card is my favorite so far.

Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card Idea -Rosanne Mulhern

I created a slimline card last week using this layout. You can see that one HERE.  I simply reconfigured the measurements to fit a standard A2 card.  I combined patterns from the Plaid Tidings and Tis the Season Designer Series Paper.  A list of all the products I used is below.

Stampin Up Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card Idea -Rosanne Mulhern

I’ve decided that the Poinsettia Petals bundle is my absolute favorite from the August-December 2020 catalog.  I’ve been creating with it non-stop over the past week and still have many more ideas.  One reason is that I love winter flowers like Poinsettias, Amaryllis, Christmas cactus and Paperwhites.  When it comes to Poinsettias, I’m drawn to the lighter colored rather than the traditional reds.  My pink-toned paper poinsettias on this card are a testament to that.

The poinsettias and berry sprigs were cut from shimmery white paper. I lightly sponged the poinsettias with Petal Pink ink.  The leaves are cut from Soft Sea Foam card stock.

For the flower centers, I cut a die from the Poinsettia dies and added rhinestones .  This really added to the richness of the card.  I’ll be adding these to other poinsettias I create.

Stampin Up Poinsettia Petals Christmas Card Ideas - Rosanne MulhernI combined two sentiment stamps from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set to create the inside sentiment.
