Super Duper Birthday

Stampin Up Super Duper Birthday Card - Rosanne Mulhern stampinup

Had so much fun making this card with the Super Duper stamp set that I just had to do it again!  This set is available in the Occasions Catalog and will be carrying over in the new Annual Catalog.  This is a great Birthday set with big, bold sentiments.

  • Super Duper stamp set did all the work on these cards and as you can see it really did the job!
  • The hardest part of these cards was deciding on the color combinations.  The possibilities are literally endless.
  • I decided to make a bright and brighter version.

  • The color combination on this card is Bermuda Bay, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.
  • I love to stamp random patterns to create backgrounds.  The stamps in this set are perfect for that.

  • This combination of Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point and Melon Mambo just made the card POP!

  • The inside was stamped with two more sentiments from the set…YAY!
  • I just added more stamping to the envelopes and they were good to go.

I love that some cards require little or no stamping and just rely on dies, Designer Series Paper or embellishments.  And then you can make a super card from just card stock, ink and stamps.

I’m glad that this set is sticking around for at least another year, as I can see so many ways to use it.  It’s a great gender and age neutral birthday set.  However, there are a lot of favorite sets going away to make room for some really terrific new ones.  The new Annual Catalog is fantastic…I can’t imagine anyone will be disappointed.

And, family vacations are just around the corner… how would you want to remember those special family moments? We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Stampin Up Large Letters Baby Card - Rosanne Mulhern

When I saw today’s theme I just knew I had to “hop” in.  This is my first time participating in a Blog Hop and I’m not sure why it took so long.  Lots of fun and lots of awesome projects!

We’re expecting our first grandchild (a boy) in June, so naturally I’ve had babies on the brain lately.

  • The Whisper White thick card base measures 6 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.
  • The custom size envelope was easily created using the Envelope Punch Board.
  • The Large Letter framelits cut the “large letters”!  I cut the letters with fun foam and Designer Series Paper from the Subtles collection and glued them together for added dimension.

  • Soft Sky card stock was cut 1/8″ smaller that the card base and scored using the Simply Scored scoring tool.  This tool is so handy at creating a subtle detail that makes a big impact.
  • I knew I wanted to put stars on the boy card so I went hunting through my framelits.  I found the perfect size in the Star Blast Edgelits Dies and cut them out in Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz card stock.
  • A couple of stars from Subtles Enamel Shapes popped on Stampin’ Dimensionals finished it off.

  • The inside sentiment is from Better Together stamp set and the stars from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set.  I love when I can go through my sets and pull everything together.

  • The baby girl card was created exactly the same way, using Pink Pirouette card stock.
  • The sweet little flowers came from That’s the Tag photopolymer stamp set and coordinating Timeless Tags thinlits dies.  These are available in the Occasions Catalog separately or as a bundle.
  • I colored them with Stampin’ Write Markers and adhered them directly to the card.
  • A Pearl Basic Jewel in the center adds the dimension here.

Darling Daisies Birthday

Stampin Up Succulent Daisy Birthday Card - Rosanne Mulhern stampinup

I just love daisies…who doesn’t.  They’re such a simple little flower that always make me smile.  These paper daisies are no exception.  They were created using the Succulent framelits from the Occasions Catalog.  This is such a versatile set and not just for making succulents…obviously!

The coordinating stamp set, Oh So Succulents is also a wonderful set. You can get a lot of mileage out of this bundle.

  • The card base is Whisper White thick card stock. I’ve just recently started to use this for all my white card bases.  It makes such a difference in the sturdiness of the card.
  • I scored a 3″ x 4 1/4″ panel of regular Whisper White card stock using the Simply Scored scoring tool.  Just these simple score lines give the card a more detailed look.
  • The Melon Mambo polka dot pattern from the Brights Designer Series Paper measures 2″ x 4 1/4″.
  • The sentiment is from the Sale-a-bration free set, Avant Garden.  If you didn’t get this set, any other sentiment could work just as well.
  • I cut the sentiment and frame from the Stylish Stems framelits…another terrific bundle in the Occasions Catalog.  Hoping both sets will carry over in the new Annual Catalog!

  • The daisies were cut using the two smallest flower dies from the Succulents framelits.  I popped them with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a Melon Mambo Enamel Shape to each.

  • The inside sentiment is also from Avant Garden stamp set.  I had this card sitting on my desk for quite awhile with just needing some finishing touches.
  • I cut another daisy for the inside using the negative space and a White Perfect Accent.
  • Here’s a photo breakdown of some products used on this card. You can purchase these and all the products I used here today by clicking the links below.

The retirement list is coming out later today and I’m hoping some of my favorites are NOT on it.  This is always such a fun time of year because the new Annual Catalog is right around the corner and is ALWAYS filled with my NEW favorites!

I hope this card made you smile today.  Have a wonderful day!

Take care,

Rosanne

Wondrous Easter Wreath

Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath Easter Card - Rosanne Mulhern stampinup

Still busy making Easter cards here. I used to enjoy making the occasional wreath for my front door although it usually ended up costing twice as much and not looking half as good as one I could buy!  My solution to this is to make them with stamps and paper.  This wreath was a lot of fun to create using Wondrous Wreath stamp set and Wonderful Wreath framelits.

Thinking outside the box….although this set was initially released as a Christmas product, it works perfectly well as a wreath for just about any holiday or season.  I’ve made Fall, Halloween and now this Spring wreath.  My downline and friend, Katie made me a pretty Valentine card with this set because she knew how much I like it.

I have a feeling though that they will be on the retirement list when it’s released on April 10th.  If it is and you don’t own the stamps and framelits, I would encourage you to purchase them while they’re still available.

Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath Easter Card Idea - Rosanne Mulhern stampinup

  • The card base is Pear Pizzazz card stock.  The polka-dot pattern is from Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper.
  • I stamped the wreath with Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive ink twice.
  • With the second wreath, I cut out groups of leaves to attach to the flowers that were stamped and cut with framelits.  This really gives the wreath a pretty 3-D effect.
  •  A circle was cut with the Layering Circles framelits in Flirty Flamingo card stock, positioned and glued to the card. A Lace Doilie was attached on top.
  • The wreath is layered on the doilie with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • Since I had another “chocolate” bunny on my desk from this card, I popped him in with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The banner image is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set and punched using the Duet Banner punch.

Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath Easter Cards Idea - Rosanne Mulhern stampinup

  • A little bit of Designer Series Paper and a sentiment from Suite Sentiments stamp set completes the inside.
  • Below is a photo indicating some of the products used for today’s Easter Wreath card.

Stampin Up Wondrous Wreath Easter Card Ideas - Rosanne Mulhern stampinup

On a personal note, this week has been so worrisome for me.  My sweet little dachshund, Tess, had to undergo surgery.  We weren’t sure if her problems were dental or something more serious and the only way to find out was to anesthesize her.  Well, she’s 18 year old, so that could have been a problem.  But I’m happy to say that she did well and just came home with 11 less teeth.  That sounds like a lot but she still has 23 left!  She’s been sleeping off the anesthesia and still a little wobbly but improving!

She’s a tough little (old) girl!
