Cup of Tea Encouragement – April CC2C

Stampin' Up! Cup of Tea Encouragement Card- Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

It’s time to take that Cross Country stamping trip with Karen Hallam in CA and myself here in PA.  This month it was my turn to choose our “route”.  With so many wonderful products leaving soon, Karen and I are featuring a favorite stamp set or bundle that’s retiring on May 1st.

My card today features the Cup of Tea bundle and the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper.  As a tea lover, I really enjoy this set and will definitely hang onto it for a long while.  I created this card for a friend who is recovering from heart surgery.

Measure & Cut…

  • Basic White thick card base:  cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • Basic Black card stock: cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Tea Boutique DSP: cut at 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ (cut 2),  7/8″ x 2 7/8″ (cut 2)
  • Basic White card stock: cut at 1 15/16″ x 3 3/16″
  • Sweet Sorbet card stock: cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
  • Basic White card stock: cut at 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside)

Put it together…

  • Glue the Basic Black panel to the card base.
  • Arrange the DSP panels around the edges of the Black panel leaving equal borders.
  • Stamp the sentiment on the Basic White panel and heat emboss with black embossing powder.
  • Cut the tea cup using the Teacup dies.  I cut the solid teacup from a DSP pattern.
  • Glue the teacup to the white panel.
  • The flowers are hand cut from the DSP and adhered with dimensionals.
  • Lastly, I added a few (retired) Crushed Curry embellishments.
  •  The inside is embellished with a DSP strip and another hand cut floral.

I’d love to hear if you have a favorite stamp set(s) that you’ll miss? If you haven’t already, please head west to Karen’s blog HERE to check out her favorite retiring products.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I’ll be back tomorrow playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

So many favorite products are leaving after this month or while supplies last….If you’ve followed me for some time, you know that I still enjoy using favorite products after they’ve retired.  So if you see something that you want now’s the time to purchase, especially if you can get $$$ off.  I’ve added a few items to my list that I know I’ll regret not having.  HERE’S the link to my online store for easy ordering.

Country Gingham Daisy All Occasion Card – #TTTC204

Stampin' Up! Country Gingham Daisy All Occasion Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Even though I’m “off” this week from designing for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge, I still enjoy playing along and I hope you do too.  Joanne created a fun board this week.  You can check out the challenge HERE.

I chose to go diagonally with: Enamel Dot, Free, Floral

Here’s what I came up with…

Stampin' Up! Country Gingham Daisy All Occasion Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

This card is a combination of current, carrying-over, soon retiring and already retired products but I think everything works well together.

Materials & Measurements

  • Basic White thick card base:  cut at 11″ x 4 1/4″, score at 5 1/2″
  • Country Gingham DSP: cut at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Sweet Sorbet card stock: cut at 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
  • Basic White card stock: cut at 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″

Details

  • Glue the DSP and Sweet Sorbet panel to the card front.
  • Emboss the Basic White panel.  I used the crosshatch folder from the Basic 3D Embossing Folders found on the Online Exclusives HERE.
  • Glue this panel to the card front.
  • Punch three large daisies using the retired large Daisy punch and three medium from the retiring Medium Daisy punch from white card stock.
  • Color the flowers using a Blending Brush and Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet ink.
  • Layer the flowers and glue to the card front.
  • I added a small black circle to the middle of each flower and an enamel dot from my stash.
  • Stamp a sentiment.  I used the sentiment from the Country Bouquet stamp set (which is being carried over in the new Annual Catalog).
  • After cutting the sentiment, I flagged the ends using a square punch and glued it to the front.

  • I left the inside blank and will add a sentiment for whatever occasion I want to use this card.  That’s the beauty of this sentiment!

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you’ll head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge to see what the Design Team came up with and will join the challenge this week…we’d love to have you!

Blessings of Home Birthday for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Flowers in the Garden. We hope you are inspired by all the wonderful creations the Pals share with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we love reading your comments. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I loved that today’s hop theme was Flowers!  As we all know, Stampin’ Up! does not have a shortage of beautiful floral images.  It was actually a little difficult to choose which one to feature.  But I decided to use the large floral from the Blessings of Home bundle.  It’s big, beautiful and bold and also, sadly, retiring in May.  So I’m giving it a big send-off by featuring it in the Blog Hop today.

Stampin' Up! Blessings of Home Birthday Cards -Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

Materials & Measurements

  • Basic White thick card base:  cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
  • Balmy Blue card stock:  cut at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ and 4″ x 5 /4″ (inside)
  • Basic White card stock:  cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ and 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside)

Details

  • Stencil on the Basic White panel, using a stencil from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks and Crumb Cake ink.
  • Adhere to the Balmy Blue panel and then to the card front.
  • Stamp the floral image 4 times in Memento Black ink.
  • Using Stampin’ Blends, color two of the images completely and just the large flower on the other two images.
  • Cut out the two large flowers on the partially colored images and adhere them to the large flowers on the two colored images using dimensionals to create more dimension.
  • I added Wink of Stella to the large flowers.
  • Again, using dimensionals, arrange the images on the card front.

  • Stamp the sentiment and flag the ends to create a banner.
  • I added two Elegant Faceted Gems to the banner.
  • The inside is embellished with a partially stamped image from the same stamp set.
  • I also coordinated the envelope by stenciling a portion of it.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team; The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on May 10th, when our theme will be a Tic Tac Toe challenge, where our Design Team will create projects, using elements/supplies that are three in a row, column, or diagonal from the tic tac toe board.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Easter Bunny Wreath – TTTC#203

Welcome to Tic Tac Toe Thursday!  It’s Team O’s turn to showcase this week’s challenge board

I actually did not make many (or any) Easter cards this year, despite having the Easter Bunny stamp set and coordinating punch.  However, I could not neglect to make at least one card for my grandsons and here it is…

I chose the third column down:  Bunny, Wreath, Free

Stampin Up Easter Bunny Slimline Easter Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

I was able to incorporate the Cottage Wreath dies into this card also.

Materials & Measurements

  •  Basic White thick card base:  cut at 6″ x 7 1/2″, scored at 3 1/2″
  • Sweet Sorbet card stock: cut at 5 1/2″ x 3 1/8″ and 4″ x 1 5/8″
  • Country Gingham DSP: cut at 5 3/8″ x 3″
  • Petal Pink card stock: cut at 3 7/8″ x 1 1/2″

Details

  • Glue the Sweet Sorbet and Gingham DSP to the card front.
  • Stamp the Petal Pink card stock with the sentiment from the Easter Bunny stamp set and adhere to the Sweet Sorbet card stock.  I stamped this is Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder for a really crisp image. Do not glue to the card front yet.
  • Cut two wreaths from the Cottage Wreath dies: one in Old Olive and the other in Pear Pizzazz cardstock and glue together.
  • Stamp the bunny, butterfly, and carrot images from the stamp set and color.  I used various Stampin’ Blends.
  • Cut the images.  I used a Scan n’ Cut but these can be easily hand cut also.
  • Position the wreath on the left side of the card.  Before gluing this down, slip the sentiment strip underneath so that the sentiment is completely showing.  Glue the sentiment strip to the card front.
  • Glue the bunny to the inside of the wreath and then glue to the card front.
  • Add the carrots around the wreath with mini dimensionals.
  • Glue the butterfly with a mini dimensional also.

I hope you’ll head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge to see what my teammates on Team “O” came up with this week and perhaps join us with your own project.
