Continuing with my last ditch quest to highlight some Last Chance products, I’m featuring the Hand-Penned bundle. I really like the sketchy (in a good way) design of the flowers in this stamp set. Not to mention, it’s a two-step stamp set, so coloring is breeze.

Here’s the details…

Measure & Cut

Basic White card base: cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Basic Black card stock: cut at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
Pool Party card stock: cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ cut 2: one for the inside
Basic White card stock: cut at 5″ x 3 3/4″

Put it together

Glue the Basic Black card stock to the card base.
Using the dot embossing folder from the 3D Basic Embossing Folders (available in the Online Exclusives HERE), emboss the Pool Party card stock.
Stamp four floral images from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
Using stamp pads (I listed the colors below) stamp each flower to color.
Cut the images with the coordinating Penned Flowers dies.
Glue three of the images to the Pool Party panel, leaving some overlapping.
Trim the overlapping.
Wrap a piece of ribbon around this panel.
Glue it to the black panel.
Stamp the sentiment from the Forever Fern stamp set and cut with a Stitched Rectangles dies.
Using dimensionals, adhere the sentiment to the center of the ribbon.
Lastly, add a few sequins.

I hand-cut just the large flower from the fourth stamped floral image.
The sentiment is from the retired Special Moments stamp set.

Decorative Borders Thank You Notecards

Happy New Week! I’m squeezing in a few more projects featuring some of my favorite products that will be leaving soon…like next week soon! Today’s project is a set of six (two of each color) Thank You notecards created using the floral corner border from the Decorative Borders stamp set in the Mini Catalog.

Here’s the details…

Measure & Cut

The card base is a Basic White Notecard, so no measuring or cutting required.
Colored card stock panel: cut at 4 7/8″ x 3 3/8″.
Basic White card stock: cut at 4 3/4″ x 3 1/4″.

Assemble

Glue the colored card stock to the notecard. I used Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather and Pale Papaya card stock.
On the Basic White panel, stamp the corner floral border in Versa Mark ink and heat emboss with Black embossing powder.
Color the border using Stampin’ Blends.
Stamp the sentiment in Black ink.
Lastly, add a few sequins or jewels
I used another stamp from the Decorative Borders stamp set to simply embellish the inside of the card and the envelope.

These would make a lovely little hostess gift or something special to tuck into a gift basket for Mother’s Day.

Forever Fern Anniversary Card

Hello! I’m going to try to squeeze in a couple cards created with Last Chance products that will be retiring on May 1st before I move onto all the new products that will be available when the new Annual Catalog goes live on May 2nd.

Today I created an Anniversary card that features one of my favorite bundles that’s been around for quite a while: Forever Fern stamp set and the coordinating Forever Flourishing dies.

Here’s the details…

Measure & Cut

Basic White thick card base: cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Silver Foil: cut at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8 and 1/8″ x 5″ strip
Highland Heather card stock: cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ and 1/8″ x 5″ strip
Basic White card stock: cut at 2 1/4″ x 5″
Butterfly Kisses DSP: cut at 1 1/2″ x 5″

Put it together

Glue the silver foil and Highland Heather card stock to the card base.
Using the Forever Fern stamp set, stamp a pattern of images on the 2 1/4″ x 5″ white panel.
Glue the stamped panel to the card base.
Glue the DSP below the stamped panel.
Cut two scalloped borders from the Painted Labels dies and glue to the bottom seam of the stamped panel.
Add the two 1/8″ strips
Stamp the sentiment, also from the Forever Fern stamp set in Versa Mark and heat emboss in black embossing powder.

Let’s play Tic Tac Toe…the challenge, I mean! And here’s this week’s board…

And here’s my card…

I chose the first row across: Slimline, Scoring, Coloring

I really enjoy creating slimline cards and prefer a mini slimline a little more. So that’s what I created today: a clean and simple mini slimline featuring the retiring Decorative Borders stamp set. My card also features another retiring stamp set: Peaceful Moments.

Measure & Cut

Basic White thick card base: cut at 7″ x 6″, scored at 3 1/2″
Basic Black card stock: cut at 5 7/8″ x 3 3/8″
Basic White card stock: cut at 5 3/4″ x 3 1/4″

Assemble

Glue the Basic Black card stock to the card base.
Score the Basic White panel using the scoreboard.
Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set between the score lines using Memento Tuxedo black ink.
Stamp the floral border from the Decorative Borders stamp set 3x in Versa Mark ink and heat emboss with black embossing powder.
Cut the floral image. I used the Brother Scan n’ Cut.
Color the whole image using Stampin’ Blends on one of the stamped images and color three of the flowers from another stamped image.
Cut the three flowers and pop them over the coordinating flowers to give some dimension.
Again, using dimensionals adhere the floral border to the card base.
Add a few coordinating gems.

The inside is embellished with a piece of DSP from the Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper collection.
Color another small flower image and glue to the inside panel.
